MJ was NOT my miracle drug!

70 lbs in a year, solid work! maintenance dosing is real — find the lowest dose that keeps food noise down. just remember your TDEE drops too so nutrition matters more now

Mounjaro response varies a lot person to person - the receptor mechanism difference between tirz and sema translates to real clinical variation.

Results with Mounjaro vary a lot - what makes one person's experience transformative makes another's miserable.

Persisting through a medication that isn't delivering the hoped-for results while managing a complex medical picture alongside it is the harder version of this story. The OP sharing the full experience rather than a highlight version takes honesty. What has been working better since deciding MJ wasn't the right fit?

omg same, never expected this from Mounjaro?? Handled 2.5 and 5 mg just fine but everything fell apart on 7.5 mg after two months / asked for a smaller amount or dropping back to 5 mg to see if things improve, honestly thinking about quitting altogether! My doctor doesn't seem convinced but all these changes

Coming up on eighteen months rather than the full two years. Sat at 10mg but pulled back down to 5 for roughly a week once 10 got to be too much. Then a nasty illness hit near the end of January, throwing up nonstop across nearly four weeks, worse than anything I'd experienced before, and honestly I'm still not back to baseline. Landed in the ER because keeping down even water was impossible, forget the nausea meds, and my doctor labeled it gastroenteritis, said mounjaro wasn't the culprit, and sent me off with fluids plus some pills. A few weeks later the drug had fully cleared my body, and it was like living inside one of those cartoons where a character keeps replaying the same craving loop, plus those pressure headaches behind my eyes returned with a vengeance, so early March I restarted the drug at 1.25mg weekly. Currently on shot number four at 2mg weekly, tried toughing it out but the appetite crash is just too much, so I'm scaling back to roughly 1.67 weekly instead :( Began this whole thing at 114kg, had dropped to 76.5kg right before falling sick, slid further down to 71kg during that first rough week and stayed there since eating was impossible. Things have since turned around, meals came back gradually, and both strength and body weight have been trending upward again
