Mood swings better on Ozempic?

Has anyone else noticed an improvement in their mood while taking Ozempic? I'm in perimenopause, and it honestly feels like it's evened things out, maybe fewer angry episodes? Possibly reduced inflammation in the brain? Just a thought.🤷‍♀️

It's interesting to consider the broader impact on relationships. Weight changes can certainly alter dynamics. Increased confidence, changes in eating habits, and even how a partner reacts to weight loss can all play a role.

I've seen some reports of increased suicidal ideation, especially when increasing the dosage. If anyone experiences anything like that, definitely touch base with your doctor right away.

Wow, that's concerning. I'm so glad I haven't had any side effects like that. I just feel…better overall. Perhaps vitamin D deficiency should be tested, as I have seen that suggested to affect mood, which Ozempic might indirectly impact.

Not sure what specific mental health stuff you're dealing with, but Ozempic genuinely helped my anxiety.
My doctor never even brought that up when prescribing it either. You really never know until you actually ask.

Honestly the biggest win for me on ozempic hasn't even been the weight, it's how much it's leveled out my perimenopause mood swings. Feel noticeably calmer, way less likely to snap or spiral into anger, reason enough on its own to stick with this. Side effects haven't been an issue either, mild enough that stopping isn't on my radar.

Noticed with this medication that once a few months passed and the body genuinely settled in, mood shifted toward something far steadier too, way less depression showing up. Science is still catching up on how complex these drugs actually are, but the payoff at a real therapeutic dose is genuinely impressive. Lowering inflammation seems to improve things well beyond just the weight piece, and researchers suggest that's not purely a downstream effect of losing weight either. Comfort food still happens occasionally, but like others have mentioned, much smaller portions end up being genuinely satisfying.

Month one on Ozempic here, also taking Wellbutrin, no interactions showing up so far. Mental health's actually been solid, noticing less anxiety and less depression lately too.

Dealt with a hormonal imbalance since my teens and packed on serious weight while on SSRIs. These days, taking the third compound, I finally get what women with regular cycles have always been describing. Feels like I'm aging in reverse.
