Mounjaro = Life Saver?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
The cosmetic framing misses what it actually does. For people where the weight is tied to real health risk, this is not about appearance. The food relationship change alone changes everything else.

The mounjaro alcohol effect is really consistent - I've seen so many people report the same reduction in the evening drink pull. It fits the dopamine and reward signaling mechanism that these medications affect broadly, not just food. For people who've had a couple beers nightly for years, having that compulsion just not show up is significant.

Barely shop online these days honestly, used to spend a lot but that impulse has largely faded now. Alcohol was never much of a struggle for me anyway, and this medication hasn't created any real distaste toward it either.

It's all trial and error honestly, haha. Drinking's already out of the picture, greasy food too. Feels like a whole new way of living and I'm into it.

This has been an absolute godsend for me as someone who struggled with drinking. Had just one beer last night, actually enjoyed it. Before mounjaro I'd have easily been fifteen plus drinks deep.

Sitting at 5mg, lost twenty kilos so far. What I save on alcohol alone basically covers the Mounjaro cost. Drinking maybe 15% of what I used to, twice a week now instead of daily.

My husband and I are big fans of eating out. Still do plenty of that on Mounjaro. Difference now is I never feel obligated to clean my plate. I eat what sounds good, and once full, which happens way sooner than it used to, I just stop. Really the only sacrifice has been cocktails since going on Mounjaro for diabetes management (and shedding 30 pounds along the way!), though I do still enjoy a nice whiskey now and then. Moderation beats total restriction for lasting results.

I always tell people mounjaro will absolutely call you out the moment you try sneaking past overeating. Puts you right back in line lol sometimes it's worth the tradeoff though

Wow, really appreciate you posting this. A close friend of mine has struggled with alcohol for years, so I know firsthand just how brutal that battle gets. So glad Mounjaro has made such a difference for you.

There's a real metabolic disorder underneath this for us. Mounjaro helped me get my eating and drinking back under control. Feels like a blessing honestly. You're not cheating, you're finally on level ground.

Honestly it's flipped for me. Used to obsess over food constantly since self-control wasn't really possible. Now that Mounjaro's in the picture, tracking and worrying just isn't a thing anymore, it's such a relief!!

Not sure how it works for you, but from what I've noticed, this medication trims weight by dulling hunger and making it easier to eat smaller amounts of favorite foods.

Still eat out constantly, always leaned toward decent food choices. Just portions are smaller these days, and a lot of the time I box up leftovers.

Maybe you can keep doing everything you already do, just naturally scaled back since hunger isn't pushing you as hard?

Rooting for you, seriously nice work on how far you've come!
