Mounjaro: One year later!

went from pooping 5-7 times a day before mounjaro to once every 1-3 days now. drinking tons of water, eating 1200-1500 cals, but can't go. feel it there, get cramps, nothing happens. any walmart fixes or do i need an actual laxative?

The yogurt approach at the start of dose escalation is underrated. Live cultures are gentle enough to add at week one, and building the gut microbiome before the GI stress arrives works better than managing symptoms after. One year without digestive distress from a cup of yogurt is a strong result.

One year is when the before weight stops being abstract - it's a concrete memory you can place. The gap between what you've done and what the people around you understand is one of the consistent parts of reaching this point.

Sizing anxiety at big milestones is its own challenge - buying something that fits the body right now is the practical fix, and a birthday is exactly when to do it. One year is worth marking.

A year in and feeling okay taking your shirt off is the NSV that doesn't show up in any chart but matters more than most of the ones that do. The progression to 12.5mg with that kind of confidence building is the compound result - the external change and the internal shift arriving at roughly the same time.

You look amazing! Stay at 5.0 as long as it keeps working - no need to rush up. I was on each dose for about 3-4 months and the sustained time at each level meant fewer side effects and the body adapting better. This is only the start!

2 shots in while managing the hormone suppressant effects from breast cancer treatment is a genuinely different starting context than most people here. The joint pain and fatigue from the suppressant - Mounjaro is also helping with those on top of everything else - a year from now that update is going to be something. For the OP hitting the one-year mark, hope this is the kind of encouragement that was helpful early on.
