Mounjaro: Still working after stopping?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Seeing fast results probably does lock in better habits long term. Once you know it's possible, sticking with clean eating and movement feels less like punishment and more like maintaining what actually works.

appetite suppression is a great sign! just stick to your 2.5 and take your next dose on schedule in 7 days. keep at that dose for a month and see how you feel. if youre still having good results stay at 2.5. if youre on mounjaro and insurance wont cover another month at step dosing your doctor can request an override. or if you want to skip the hassle you can just split a 5mg pen instead which is what i do

I've checked my glucose daily for 17 months after beginning Mounjaro. Numbers stabilized around 92 after roughly 6 weeks. I still get mild dawn phenomenon but even after carb-heavy meals the spikes stay reasonable. Recently switched to semaglutide and the readings are now stabilizing again around 92 after a couple months.

I've noticed after taking breaks it takes a few days for the appetite to come back. Usually around a week before food noise gets loud again, and even then if you've built solid eating habits the weight still stays off. Had a break once where I ate a bit more but lost 2 lbs over those three weeks anyway.

5mg every 14 days with cravings only on the last day is a well-dialed maintenance protocol that maximizes the cost savings while keeping the suppression working. The OP's question about still working after stopping is the harder path - every 14 days at a lower dose is the middle ground between stopping and staying on full weekly dosing. What's the plan for when that craving window on day 14 eventually widens?

Congrats, every win counts! Great news on shot number four. Was on a different injection for close to a year with nothing to show for it before the endo switched things to Mounjaro. Took a bit of time and some frustration to adjust here too. Glad it's working so quickly for you this time! Keep at it!

its been three months since i stopped, and theres still a few injections left that i should probably toss. it honestly turned things around for me, but at this point i can handle things on my own from here. havent gained a single pound because im sticking with the habits that changed my life, eating better, cutting back on sugar and soda. feeling great overall, more energy, back pain gone, no fuzzy vision, every side effect mounjaro gave me has cleared up now. hunger has come back some, sure, but im managing it fine with good food choices and plenty of fiber. honestly i think my own body's natural hormone response works better now because of it. thanks mounjaro, but im done here. just keep up the good eating habits and everything should hold steady. best wishes to everyone.

Are those breaks of a couple months on doctor's advice? Not proven scientifically, but many report Mounjaro works less well the second time. If you started and stopped repeatedly over two years, that could be why it no longer works. Some people move to semaglutide and get results, while others say stay on it and the effect returns.
