Trying to manage stress by learning to regulate my emotions and use good habits instead of bad ones.
After stopping smoking, my morning cigarette became a morning walk. Smokes in the car became celery sticks. My after-dinner smoke became a walk around the block. My bedtime smoke became a cup of herbal tea.
Try going for a walk, taking an exercise class, weight training, kicking a punching bag, taking a hot bath, watching a favorite show, etc. instead of driving.
Find better replacements and also, seek help. Go to therapy, read self-help books, listen to podcasts, do yoga, and address the issues that cause your stress.
