Mounjaro: Stress Eating Replaced with Stress Driving!

food companies will adjust temporarily with smaller portions but think about this — they're evil enough to find a way to neutralize glp-1s. read about it a year ago. we live in a time where companies don't do the right thing. sad.

don't be scared. your body's still chasing that pleasure hit — could be food, could be shopping, doesn't matter. listen to your body. if you feel full, stop. if you want water, drink it. nothing to be scared of unless you wanna keep the eating addiction.

love Sola bagels—each has 30g fiber so I do half morning, half night. sardines or canned fish. tried bunch of protein yogurts but only stick with the Seeq strawberry lemonade. mix it with collagen, liquid IV, and creatine for everything in one drink.

gut's super reactive here too. timing felt weird on my end—was eating different for days, then crash hit 12 hours after injection. might've just been my gut catching up.

can't please everyone, some ppl just live to complain about stuff. once i looked normal i got asked why i drink diet soda, then when muscle showed up it was 'protein kidneys' 🙄 — same diet, just less of it.

Hi, all,

I've been taking 5mg for around 12 weeks and I've lost about 25 lbs, fantastic. But I've bumped into a strange side effect I didn't expect.

I used to be a total stress eater. When stressed, I’d grab chips, cookies, or whatever. Now that the Mounjaro has stopped that food chatter, I can barely eat half a plate of food per day. However, the stress is still there—I just can't use food for comfort.

I've started driving to deal with it. It was occasional at first, but it’s gotten worse. I went from driving 500 miles a month to over 3,500 miles last month. I just drive for hours to clear my head.

Here’s the problem: my car is a lease with a 12k-mile-per-year limit. I'm going to get charged a lot of money in fees.

Did any former emotional eaters find an alternative way to deal with stress? Anybody find a "replacement" hobby that works but doesn't involve lots of driving? I’d like some suggestions.

Side effects hit different for everyone — we mostly hear the negative because people vent. I haven't had rough symptoms. Maybe a bit queasy a few hours post-shot but food clears it. Clean eating and tons of water help. No hunger ever, but I stick to macros with small portions, protein shakes every few hours.

Trying to manage stress by learning to regulate my emotions and use good habits instead of bad ones.

After stopping smoking, my morning cigarette became a morning walk. Smokes in the car became celery sticks. My after-dinner smoke became a walk around the block. My bedtime smoke became a cup of herbal tea.

Try going for a walk, taking an exercise class, weight training, kicking a punching bag, taking a hot bath, watching a favorite show, etc. instead of driving.

Find better replacements and also, seek help. Go to therapy, read self-help books, listen to podcasts, do yoga, and address the issues that cause your stress.

I also drive to relax! I've never met anyone else who does this.

I haven't found a solution (in my case it's the high cost of fuel) but finding new places to walk in has been a bit helpful to scratch that itch for disconnection and something new.

I'm obsessed with Legos (I'm 57). I think getting older and the tirz have made my ADHD worse, and Lego building helps. I'm not sure it's cheaper than lease penalties.
