My experience as a new Reta user

Sharing my experience before starting since comparison data was what I was after myself. Forty, six feet tall, used to compete in combat sports and stayed athletic but a run of injuries and a desk job later meant weight climbed steadily. Cutting it naturally proved painfully slow. Picked reta, peaked around 225 pounds near 30 percent body fat. Started small, and that first shot triggered brutal digestive chaos, though results followed quickly given the water weight drop. Things stabilized and real changes showed up, appetite dulled more than food thoughts did, still catch myself thinking about meals but rarely feel true hunger, fullness hits fast once eating starts. Bumped up a few weeks later once suppression faded. On a higher dose now, the opening fortnight brought noticeable skin sensitivity, my spouse couldn't handle it and switched compounds. Still working toward my own target. Hoping this helps anyone starting out on something similar.

Currently at 5mg weekly on reta. Started low and quickly found stretches without real hunger got a lot longer. Before starting, roughly three hours after eating I'd get hungry again or crave another meal. On reta, skipping a meal entirely felt fine. Real appetite suppression didn't kick in until around 4mg, and even then mild, could still finish protein on my plate easily. Now at 5mg though, fullness hits fast. Even feel slightly nauseous eating these days, though it clears the moment I stop.

Food noise has been an issue and still lingers somewhat, though manageable now. Also stopped eating three hours before bed since I take a growth peptide combo at bedtime, so there's an argument that's driving some improvement rather than reta alone. Hard to say for certain the dose alone explains it.

Started at a small dose for two weeks, then bumped up. Zero unwanted side effects, and every craving I had vanished completely, alcohol, other habits, junk food, all of it. Six weeks later moved up again since cravings started creeping back and my loss had plateaued.

Starting weight was 255 lbs in Jan 2025. By the time I began reta I was 212 (a year of dirty keto got me there). Now I'm at 179 and aiming for 165, maybe lower, idk yet, though at 5'9 probably not much. I began with half a milligram of reta and today I'm up to 4mg, injecting roughly weekly.

First 24 days on reta: 13lbs gone, newbie luck. After that I added a stack with BPC, TB-500 and IGF-1 DES. One dose two days ago, and already my torn shoulder lifts higher, my delts feel firmer and my lifts are stronger. I curled a 50lb dumbbell hammer-style with my left arm, something I havent done in four years.

Week 10 starting now. 5'7 female. Peak weight 221, dropped 46 before Reta, so I started at 175. This morning I'm 153, which is 3 down from last week and 22 since Reta began. First goal was 160 and that's done!! Next one is 140. Just took dose number 10 and I'm holding at the 2.5 level. Blood pressure is nice and low, same as before Reta. Only side effect is sleep, I wake around 5:30 or 6 and can't drift back off even though I'm tired. Ugh. Moving a lot again too, racquet sports three or four times a week plus some weights after a long break.

I'm 50, male, 5'7". First month on Reta at 0.5mg every third day, starting weight 169.9 lbs (BF 26.9%), average 165.3, ending 160.5 (down 8.9 lbs that month), average muscle mass per smart watch 67 lbs, BF 23.8%. Second month was Reta 1mg every third day, starting at 162.2, average 158, current 154 (down 8.2 lbs), average muscle mass 66 lbs, BF 19.5%. Total loss 17.1 lbs in two months while keeping muscle. Body fat is down 7.4%. I've been tracking calories and macros with an app, roughly 1700 kcal a day with a 100g protein goal. Reta by itself ran two months, a peptide blend was added for 1 month, and CJC/IPA started just two days back.

Smart watch readings put my muscle mass around 66lbs the whole 3 months on reta, and 22lbs came off in that time. Body fat currently reads 15-17%. Im doing rock climbing twice weekly, hot yoga twice weekly, and one weights session recently added. Aiming at 100g protein a day. Like others said, you can keep muscle with some resistance training and enough protein.
