My GLP-1 journey (so far!)

Pep_Beer Keeping an eye on your A1C when adjusting your medication is crucial. If you're concerned, discuss a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) with your physician to track your blood sugar in real-time! That could give you a better picture of what a lower dose might do.

sorry you're dealing with this. it's a known side. check the forum for anhedonia. some say it gets better. talk to your doc immediately about switching to another glp1. don't white-knuckle through losing interest in life just to lose weight. nothing's worth that.

Over a year on it, never had loose stool until now. I'm touring Europe and eating different foods — but wow, I'm in the bathroom every couple hours and it's rough. Normally take colace and magnesium at night but stopped a week ago. Getting immodium at the next stop.

Yeah, the plateau at 112-115 for half a year is a frustrating resting point. 143 to that range is still significant movement but hitting a wall for that long usually means the dose or mechanism needs a review. What dose and what medication have you been running to get there?

Appreciate you sharing all that. Sounds like you might finally be at a comparable medication strength now that you've reached 7.5. Never personally used Ozempic so I can't weigh in there, but once I started layering in all the extra habits to support Mounjaro, my results really picked up speed!

Ozempic didn't fully do the job for me. My A1C improved, but the scale barely budged, which mattered to my doctor too. She switched me over to Mounjaro and suddenly the mental chatter about food disappeared, plus I fill up on tiny portions now. Ended up losing more than 50 pounds.

On this medication for type 2 diabetes, so the long-term commitment was expected going in.

Started small and increased monthly. Pretty sure nothing changed until reaching a moderate level. Only then did weight actually start moving. Eventually reached a strong amount and held there a few months. Bloodwork improved enough to ask about dropping the dose. Probably sticking with a slightly lower amount since food noise returns even there, though nowhere near as bad as before.

Everybody responds differently. Even without much early weight loss, research on this drug class shows nearly everyone sees improvement in at least some health markers.
