Mystery GLP-1s: Am I nuts?

OK, ladies and gents, I gotta ask... am I totally losing it? I'm a 68-year-old female physician, and here I am sourcing this... stuff... online. It arrives in a plain vial, no markings, probably from overseas, paid for with crypto (which I otherwise wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole). Then I mix it up and inject it, hoping it's what I think it is and won't kill me.

But damn, the results speak for themselves! I'm in better shape than I have been in decades!

It still surprises me how many of us 'normal' people are doing this, lol. I thought it was just for the gym rats!

How long have you been using Reta? Is it something you and other medical folks talk about openly?

I'm right there with you. My wife and I are just regular people, injecting mystery chemicals and seeing results. I've lost roughly 22lbs in the past 30 days, and she's down about 16lbs. We both feel incredible.

I also have a medical background, though I'm not actively practicing. I'm happily injecting peptides from China. I don't think I could have kept off 50+% of my weight long-term without them. And frankly, I don't think I'd *have* a long term worth worrying about if I regained that weight.

It's wild that I've been scammed on half the supplements I buy on Amazon, yet I trust these overseas peptide sources. The whole little ecosystem is strange!

Truthfully, my personal trainer at the gym got me started on reta. But I'm keeping my GLP-1 use pretty quiet, just between me and my wife.

I'm in healthcare too (more on the operational side), and I *still* feel weird about doing this. It's not the kind of thing I'd ever imagined myself doing. When I first heard about people using these, I remember thinking, 'Wow, that's insane, and definitely something I'd never do. People are nuts.' Then I found this forum and started reading out of curiosity... and realized that so many folks seemed careful, thoughtful, intelligent, and rational. Then, somehow, I became a peptide stockpiler, and sometimes I think, 'Wait, what am I doing?!'

I DID stop injecting a bunch of random mystery powders at the same time, though. I promised my mom I'd chill out and agreed it was too much. One non-GLP1 at a time.

I started with brand-name tirz about 3 years ago. I Lost 65 pounds then switched to maintenance. But I noticed the scale creeping up a bit and I wanted to lose maybe 5-8 more pounds. I heard about reta, so I started reta 2 months ago and reduced my tirz dose. It's going well. I don't know if I'll stick with both or completely switch to reta.

Welcome, Doc! I started on compounded sema around a year and a half ago. It worked really well for the first couple of months, then... nothing. No appetite suppression, no weight loss, just $500 a month down the drain for half a year. I was talking with a friend about how I wanted to try Tirzepitide, because she takes a GLP1. She said to not bother with it at all and said that this other thing was available. That's how I found out about Reta. Since I have degrees in computer science and math and I'm all about the data, I tried to disprove her suggestion. After two weeks I got back to her and said, 'Okay, how do I get some?' and she sent me her CN vendor info.

Now I'm deep into this world, and I've spent too much time researching other peptides that might benefit a 67-year-old female. I think I'm gonna need a bigger freezer soon. I'm trying out maybe 10 others. Some aren't giving me the results I was hoping for, but it's been interesting research so far, and my bloodwork last month was better than it's ever been. No going back for me!

One of my close friends is a physician. Can you believe he's the one who got me into peptides? I was taking Zepbound with a 30-pound goal, and as soon as he knew I was losing weight rapidly, he called me out and started me on a peptide protocol with CJC/Ipamorelin, then wolverine + GHK-CU. Because he isn't 'my doctor', he told me to inform my PCP about what I was doing so he could order the right blood work to get it covered through insurance. Most of his doctor pals use peptides for something. He even uses the peptides I source from PRC.

Most folk don't realize that the vast majority of peptides sold by the name-brand companies are made in China under contract. So, you're not alone in trusting them with your health.

I am curious to know what made you finally take the leap?

I've decided I'm not telling any of my doctors about Reta and just vaguely saying I'm on a compounded GLP. I have fewer side effects and more energy on Reta than I ever did with Tirz or Wegovy, which both gave me terrible fatigue and GERD.

I totally feel you. I'm super risk-averse in most areas of my life, and I still can't believe I'm doing this. But I've never felt this good, so it worked out for me!
