Hi everyone! I'm thrilled to share that I picked up my Rybelsus prescription today and am starting this journey. Thank goodness my insurance covers most of it!

I was hoping for a generic version locally, but no luck yet. Oh well!

I'm beginning at 260 lbs. My goal is to become healthy enough to be active with my family and feel better as a nurse. My doctor thinks it will help manage my evening food cravings related to stress. Wish me luck, everyone!

Welcome to the club! Seriously, it's been transformative for me. Only a few months in, and the effects are remarkable. As a creature of habit, it's helped me rethink my eating. I've had minimal side effects and started at a moderate dose. Rooting for you!

Welcome aboard! I just had my second injection last weekend. I have to say it has been incredibly helpful for inflammation and joint stiffness. Like in 24 hours it was better. Just wanted to share something exciting about it besides the weight loss.

My weight loss is a bit gradual. I'm not sure why. Although I'm ok with it, as it might mean less excess skin. Any nausea and vomiting tended to occur 36-48 hours after the injection, but it resolved after vomiting once. Thankfully, it doesn't happen now. Besides weight loss, the reduction in inflammation is the best benefit. My joint discomfort is significantly reduced!

Does anyone know how to get semaglutide affordably without insurance? I'm so worried about scams. I saw an online ad for a company with an all-inclusive plan: medication, shipping, and a virtual consult for $180/month, no hidden fees. Then I got a pop-up from someone claiming to be from the same company offering it for $150 if I ordered through them.

That sounds very odd. I would definitely contact the company directly. Don't trust random pop-ups.

To those just starting, a tip I got from my therapist is helpful. If you want to treat yourself (like ice cream), add something healthy to it (like strawberries). Focus on adding instead of restricting!

Here's a tip for new users: even if you don't feel hungry, make sure you eat anyway. These meds can really suppress your appetite, but your body still needs fuel to function, especially protein to preserve muscle. Protein shakes can be your friend!

New to this on Mounjaro myself and close to target. Was 160 kilos, 6'1 tall, now 105 kilos aiming for 90. On a kidney transplant waiting list after four years of dialysis. Reversed my diabetes after years on metformin and insulin - lifestyle changes and no alcohol plus quitting smoking did it. Was a mess but staying determined got me here. You look fantastic and must be feeling great.

my morning coffee tasted sour after reading that. getting a mots-c 40mg kit tomorrow that i ordered. gonna update here once it's reconstituted and sat in the fridge 24 hours.

Different people think about health totally differently, can't judge him for that. My coworker wanted to eat whatever and just medicate instead. I get it, just different approaches. Glad you got off all those meds though.

You're making a smart choice. Be straight with your doc about everything. Ask all your questions. These meds really do make a difference long-term. Best of luck.
