Off GLP-1s and holding steady!

I'm doing pretty well, everyone. I started at 175 lbs at 5'6", got down to 137 lbs, then stopped the medication. I put on about 10 lbs but I've been killing it at the gym, so I think it's mostly muscle. Now I'm consistently at 147-150 lbs. I feel great! More energy, better sleep, just healthier overall. It takes effort to maintain, so be disciplined and make a workout routine to avoid reverting to bad habits. I'm barely drinking these days, and I meal prep every Sunday. It's worth the work!

You look amazing! I can't believe how great you look! It's so frustrating to see people act like this is a lifetime drug and not about making lifestyle changes. It makes sense to me: you develop better habits, maintain an exercise and strength routine, and then just keep going with the new habits. Awesome job. You should be proud.

That's such a victorious look you have! Really inspiring, thank you for sharing. Love the style too!

Wow, you look fantastic!!! How long did it take you to get there? I'm not on any GLP-1 meds, just working out and eating less. It's frustrating because my BMI is high, but since I don't have diabetes or high BP, my insurance won't cover it. So, they're calling me a 'healthy' fat person. I started at 276 lbs and I'm at 271 lbs now. Losing even a pound is like pulling teeth. I'm trying to eat like someone on a GLP-1. I walk every morning except for one day a week. How many calories did you eat a day? Did the drug just totally kill your appetite?

You look fantastic! What was your dosage and timing strategy like? I know you can get it from some pharmacies in other countries without a prescription. Trying to figure out how much to order.

You're a true inspiration! I've lost 19 lbs so far, and my goal is 50 lbs total. I've been on it for 4 months, so fingers crossed I can lose the last 30!

This is great! Starting it next week. I have chronic pain, so hoping to get to a weight that's less stress on my system. So that I can be more active, build muscle and strength. So that when I eventually go off, I'll have enough muscle mass built up to sustain even if I regain some weight.

To answer a few questions: I was on it for about 8 months. And yes, it totally killed my appetite at first, but that leveled out after a few weeks. As for calories, I wasn't strict about counting, but aimed for around 1500-1800 a day, with lots of protein.

I'm curious, Foxxx, what kind of workout routine did you establish before stopping the medication? Did you focus on cardio, strength training, or a mix?

That's a smart plan. Building muscle is key for long-term weight management, regardless of medication use. Muscle burns more calories at rest, which makes it easier to maintain weight loss.

I have been inconsistent with my dosing and have been off the injections for about 2 months. I had a plateau for about 6 months prior to that and I gained 10lbs gradually. I'm thinking to restarting but trying to change my behavior around food. Anyone got advice for post injection weight gained?

I would say track every calorie, get a food scale, and be honest with yourself. Weight gain usually comes from eating more calories than you burn, even if it's just a little more each day.

Six months down from 240 to 164lbs. Maintaining at 7.5mg weekly. Shifted into maintenance mode. If struggling keep going. Look at how far you've come not how far left.
