One year on GLP-1s!

Wow, time flies! I realized I kicked this off right before last year's Halloween. A whole year of tirzepatide, then tirz with Reta, then just Reta, then back to tirz and now tirz with survodutide. Started around 275-285ish, hard to say exactly. Now I'm hovering around 204, so roughly 75 pounds gone in a year? That's about 1.44 pounds a week. I'll take it!

Interesting journey you've had. I saw you mentioned Reta didn't work well by itself? I haven't really heard of that. And now tirz and survodutide? I've heard of survodutide. What does it do for you *with* the tirz, and what made you stop tirz at first if it was helping?

So, [@Erin_62] the survodutide seems to be helping with some of the appetite suppression that faded a bit with the tirz. I stopped tirz to try Reta alone, hoping for even better results, but it didn't pan out for me.

Congrats on hitting your goal, True-Happy! Have you started thinking about maintenance yet, or are you staying at your current dose for a while?

Thanks! [@Care_Free731] I'm thinking about staying put for the holidays, given how tempting everything is. Then maybe titrate down in the new year. It's a bit scary!

I agree with [@Care_Free731] – maintenance is key! I've been focusing on strength training to maintain muscle mass. It's not just about the weight, but also about overall health and bone density.

I've been following groups online about these meds for a while now. The dumb stuff people do with them is wild.

I bet a lot of people suing messed up somehow or ignored side effects.

Like, I saw one lady who ended up in the ER after passing out from throwing up. She admitted she was eating like nothing for 2 months and still kept taking the shot. Another lady kept taking her shots even though she was having bad stomach problems... because she was losing weight!
