Sorry for the delayed response, I don't check this platform often.
My doctor was totally fine with me combining two smaller doses to hit my full weekly amount. Makes no difference medically since the formulation stays identical across all strength levels.
STANDARD DISCLAIMER: None of this counts as medical guidance. Just sharing how I personally understand the underlying math.
After looking into it and crunching some numbers, splitting actually became my preference: one dose early in the week, one mid-week, since it seems to smooth out side effects.
Here's the reasoning:
This medication has roughly a week-long half-life. So injecting the full amount on day one means about half remains present a week later. Wait another week without dosing, and half of that remaining amount is left too, and the pattern continues. By roughly week five, most of that original amount has cleared.
The opposite happens with regular use. Levels build gradually until reaching equilibrium around week five. At that stage, the average amount circulating sits noticeably above a single dose.
Taking the full amount just once weekly means your levels swing significantly between the peak right after injecting and the low point right before the next one during the wee
