Ozempic - anyone else blindsided?!

Okay, we all get the basic Ozempic rundown—smaller meals, less hungry, maybe some digestive *adventures*. But seriously, why didn't anyone tell me about:

* The food freak-outs? My body now hates ground beef (used to be my go-to), but I'm obsessed with bell peppers of all things???
* The energy waves – some days I'm ready to hike a mountain, other days I need a midday crash.
* The surprise belches?? I'll be chilling watching tv and BOOM a giant burp outta nowhere.
* The 'Ozempic Attitude Adjustment' – I'm way less stressed about food, but now I'm snapping at my dog over absolutely nothing.
* The MONEY I'M SAVING?? I'm practically rolling in dough because I'm not hitting up the drive-thru 24/7. Someone please stage an intervention before I buy more shoes I will never wear with all this extra cash.

What's the weirdest, funniest, or most unexpected thing Ozempic has thrown your way? Tell me I'm not the only one losing it. 😂

I never even glanced at desserts before, but now I want cookies constantly. And pasta, I need pasta all the time.

But for me, the worst is the crazy intense dreams. They're super real, and I wake up totally out of it for ages. Usually happens right after my shot day 😩

Totally get the weird food thing!! Use to love nuts and jerky. Now I go crazy for celery, and now I eat so much my hands are changing color. I mean who goes out to lunch with a bag of celery? Me. That who.

Even paying out of pocket, I'm coming out ahead since I cut WAY back on wine and food delivery. Roughly $500 a month for the shots but STILL pocketing more?!

Used to be all about lottery tickets and online shopping, now? Nope. Pretty much never.

THANK YOU, OZ!! You're the GOAT!! 💯

These food aversions feel so much like pregnancy cravings it's bizarre. The very thought of certain foods makes me feel sick.

I can't stand the sight of eggs now.

Like, I lived on eggs before!

And we have chickens!

I'm swimming in eggs, probably gonna donate them at work, lol.

Can't even look at them, yuck.

Is my eating even worse now?

My food issues just make me not eat much. Then when I know I should eat I will eat junk cause that's all I want to eat... Just small servings

Plus I can't stand cooking. Dinner last night was just noodles with jarred sauce because I was too tired to make real food.

I mostly eat caffeine, shakes, yogurt, cheese slices, and bread.

The sulfur burps are common on Ozempic. Magnesium Glycinate might help with the energy dips, but take it at night before bed.

Weirdest thing is my super-powered sense of smell. Like being pregnant again. I will want something but i hate it when I smell it. The meat section at the supermarket makes me wanna puke. Still want my coffee but hate the taste. Always want fizzy water.

Also, crazy energy swings mixed with a sex drive boost. I could sleep all day but if my husband walks by (and smells good) I will try to get him in bed. Poor man must be confused.

I never liked sweets but now I want candy all the time. Thank goodness sugar-free candy exists lol. The smell of food gets to me. I was cooking mushrooms one night and the smell almost made me throw up. Haven't had them since. I am OK with the smell of food while cooking and eating, but I do NOT want to smell it lingering. I need to air out the house or use candles after dinner because the smell makes me sick. It's so weird.

I'm on week two now, and I'm not sure if I'm full or hungry. I feel hunger pains all the time, even after eating a healthy meal. It's definitely not sickness. My body wants food, but I don't want any more. Has anyone else felt this?

I saw a study that found that a lot of the "hunger" people feel is due to the body needing water or electrolytes. Maybe try some electrolyte drinks and see if that helps with the hunger pains you're feeling Drew_1984

I have to really tell myself I don't need to eat. I eat my portion. Usually two bigger meals a day and a few small healthy snacks. And drink tons of water.

OMG YES! It's like when my sister was pregnant. She couldn't stand the smell of coffee but needed it every morning. Bodies are weird!

my wife and i are both 11 weeks in and just talking about this. mental health's improved a bunch. not sure if it's the med or eating better and moving more, but it's there and noticeable.
