Body image is a trip. I was looking at a photo from about a year ago, when I began my weight-loss attempts. Post-cancer treatment, I put on around 40 pounds from hormone treatments and peaked at 210. I worked hard from last January to October, getting down to 194 on my own, but my blood sugar was still high and my cholesterol was concerning. My doctor suggested Ozempic, and I went for it, and I've managed to shed another 15 pounds since October. I'm only on 0.5mg because I didn't want rapid loss due to loose skin fears, so it's about a pound per week. I haven't stalled yet, although I had a couple of weeks with no loss, but also no gain. Plus, I broke my kneecap in late November, so I haven't been able to walk for two months. Anyway, I'm still happy with my progress, and seeing myself a year ago makes me want to celebrate!
