Ozempic face changes!

Started on Ozempic around the end of May. I think I've managed to drop around 10ish pounds - mostly early on when I was just at .25mg. I've been dealing with some heartburn and queasiness while on .5mg, so I'm planning to stick with this dosage a bit longer to see if it eases up instead of going higher, or maybe even going back to .25. I didn't really notice a huge difference until I put my before and after pictures side by side (early May vs. late July). I'm also being careful about my diet (mostly avoiding greasy foods - trying to eat more protein and vegetables with minimal carbs). I'm trying to walk about a mile or so each day for some activity, but my exercise is kinda limited because of balance and mobility issues. Still, I'm pretty happy with where I'm at right now.

That's amazing! You look great in both pics! But it looks like you've shaved a few yrs off your look! I really hope I get good results like that when I start too! Congrats!!!

Wow! First pic - beautiful but kinda tired looking. Second pic - beautiful, younger, healthier, slimmer, and you're glowing!

Beautiful before and beautiful after! But you look like you are a decade and a half younger in the after pic! 🙌

For folks experiencing persistent nausea, it's worth discussing with your doctor.

They might recommend something for acid reflux, as that's a common side effect that can cause those symptoms.

I hear you on the nausea. I had some really awful days when I first started on .5. I found that avoiding anything that I knew could upset my stomach helped a lot. Like, if I even think about eating a certain food that made me sick once, it kinda triggers me. So I just avoid it completely now.

It's interesting how everyone reacts differently. I've been on 0.5mg for almost 4 years now. I dropped over 40lbs and have actually managed to keep it off. The beginning was rough with side effects, but getting a colonoscopy seemed to make things better. Once in a while I'll still have a bad day with a headache and nausea, but I'm pretty sure it's connected to something weird I ate.

your body might've felt like it was starving on ozempic and now wants to rebuild. sounds wild but there's stuff out there about how the brain pushes cravings after weight loss — pulls from ancient survival instinct. kinda cool to think about.
