Seeing before and after pics is so inspiring!
That's exactly what I needed to hear. I'm only down 2 lbs after almost 4 months... it's discouraging, but I gotta trust the process. Thanks!

NYT April 15, 2026—opinion piece, not research, but some good info and easy read. Behind a paywall, might be other ways to see it. Cross-posted to r/GLP1ResearchTalk.

Followed the standard progression, starting low and stepping up every month until reaching a full dose. Had early weight loss and side effects that were manageable. Been staying consistent with protein, fiber, and water. Walking a couple miles with the dog several times weekly, usually three, plus at least one, often two, strength sessions at the gym. Not obsessive about it, but definitely intentional.

Depends who you are. Some do end up with the so-called Ozempic face, sometimes joked about as the walking dead look, mostly in already slim women who push to get thinner still. As a man of 51, I dropped nearly 30 kg on Mounjaro across 4 months. For me it went the other way, people keep telling me I look better. Long before I slimmed down, people rarely guessed my age and guessed roughly 45, and since then even younger. It seems to me much comes down to your starting point, the amount to lose, genetics, and how much fat your face held at the start.
