I've been kinda scared to post this, because it seems like a lot of people here have a specific idea of who should be using these meds. I'm not overweight or diabetic, but I'm on Ozempic. My psychiatrist prescribed it, and he's a big deal in addiction medicine, not some random online source. I've been clean from drugs, booze, and other stuff like compulsive eating for almost 3 decades, but it's a daily fight. Some people talk about 'food noise' - imagine that cranked up to 11, all the time, for everything. That's what it's like for many of us with addiction issues. Staying sober is HARD. Turns out Ozempic helps a LOT. I don't constantly crave drugs/alcohol/porn/food. I'm not even feeling suicidal anymore. Maybe someone else can relate?
