Ozempic journey - don't give up!

Started at 250, now at 158 since June '24 taking 15mg weekly. My target is 149. I've seen REALLY slow loss the past six months, like barely a couple of pounds each month but my clothes fit better. Don't lose hope if you hit plateaus! I usually stall every 10 pounds or so, and sometimes it lasts for a while. I'm at the pool 5 times a week doing laps. I don't follow a strict diet but I do watch my portions. For instance, I still enjoy pizza but I'll only have one slice instead of my usual three! 😉 I'm also making a real effort to reduce sugar and carbs.

That's perfectly described; it really is "just like that." So straightforward after years of struggle! Kudos! 🙌

Wow!! That big smile says it all!! You look fantastic! You should feel so proud of yourself!

I’m only on day 6 and the food noise is gone. I keep wondering if this is what it’s like for thin people? Not always thinking about what they are going to eat next?
👏🏻💝

For those of you who aren't seeing the scale move as fast as you'd like, consider getting a DEXA scan. It can measure your muscle vs. fat! Sometimes the scale isn't the best indicator. Also, track measurements with a tape measure! The inches lost are sometimes more encouraging than pounds.

I agree with @GoalWeightBetty about the slow loss. I've only dropped about 25lbs in a year and a half, but I can definitely see the difference in the mirror and that keeps me going! I'm struggling to get below 190, its so frustrating! But seeing other's successes is helping me keep motivated! Did anyone else find the loss to be slow?

It's not a race! Slow and steady progress is still progress. And as @PinLady says, focus on body composition changes, not just the number on the scale.

Thank you @Salad_Dude for the support! It really helps to hear that.

I'm also trying not to get too hung up on the scale. I was getting frustrated because I was fluctuating up and down through the same 5 pounds for weeks. I had to remind myself that it's about overall health, not just a number.

How fast do you expect this to go? Should take a decade? Three decades? Come on. Those fitness guys get huge then cut down super fast, round and round. Muscle and fat cycles. You can't get that look without serious drugs anyway. Don't expect the impossible.
