Ozempic journey: My experience

Started Ozempic in late '23, stuck with 1mg for like 9 months, didn't change much else, and went from 388 to about 315. Had to stop because of money. Between late '24 and Oct '25, crept back up to 345. Jumped back on at .5 mg in October, actually watching what I ate this time and exercising. Stopped again in December. Now I'm all about calorie counting and working out, and it's March, weighing in at 285, and still losing even off Ozempic. It's a great tool if you use it right. Took me from not being able to move to being active.

I can relate. I've gone from 350 to 197. Keto got me most of the way there, but it seemed to slow down after a couple of years when I was at 207. Stopped and gained back to 245. After a couple of years, started Zepbound and finally hit the 100s last week!

It's amazing what you can do when you're not carrying all that extra weight. I joined Orange Theory and loved it. This time around, I can fit into clothes I never thought I could. And people are noticing the clothes and saying "you look great!" instead of "have you lost weight?"

Congrats on your success! Keep pushing forward, even when things get tough!

Thanks for sharing your story. Sounds like what I'm going through. I'm tracking calories too – trying to learn to eyeball the calories in food without having to look it up all the time. It's crazy how much easier it is to move around when you drop even a little bit of weight.

Makes sense to keep the weight off year after year.

Good job, but heads up. Yo-yoing is super common if you don't stick with GLP-1s for a long time *after* you've lost the weight.

Thanks for all the kind words! I'm really trying to be mindful this time around and make sustainable changes. It's definitely a process.

A friend of mine had to stop sema due to gallbladder problems... Seems to be a thing? She had crazy stomach pain and found out she had gallstones. Switched to Zepbound and feels much better!

I've heard about the gallbladder issues. It's good to be aware of potential side effects. Rapid weight loss in general can trigger it.

Wait, so if I'm on Mounjaro I need to be extra careful with birth control? 😳 I'm not trying to have a baby right now!

Yeah, apparently GLP-1s can mess with how well oral birth control works. Maybe talk to your doctor about other options if you're concerned.

whatsapp is encrypted end-to-end so better for vendor orders. thing is, you can't see history or pinned price lists after joining. telegram and discord let you pin and scroll back through everything. none are perfect but I use all three now. discord's been getting nuked so I'm using tg groups more.

54 to 38 in the waist is the kind of number that resets the whole wardrobe - clothes shopping on the other side of that is a different experience entirely.
