Ozempic success at low dose!

Started Ozempic last summer, and I'm down around 55 pounds. Hit a high of 0.5 mg, but I feel best at 0.25. Went from 180 lbs to 125 lbs. I pre-dose with B-12 for queasiness. Ask away!

Thanks for sharing your experience. You're looking great! It's interesting you maintained your dose at 0.25 this whole time. I'm just starting so this is super encouraging.

Congrats on your success! I started in January and I'm on .50 right now but I felt like I was losing more weight and had no issues at .25. I actually went back down to .25 last night after chatting with my doctor about it. I can already feel the difference after just a day. Less nausea and I was able to eat more protein! Finally! I love hearing success stories like yours. Thanks and you look great, I bet you feel amazing too!

Sorry, guys! I take 1000 mcg of B12 orally before the shot. I'm 35 and 5'7". I'd say I lost about 3-4 pounds a week. I just ate a bit better, honestly. Nothing crazy.

No weight loss for me, after over 4 months at 2 mg. How is this even possible?
Maybe you're not eating ENOUGH, @Health_Chick134? I know that sounds backwards, but your body will hold onto weight if you're in starvation mode. Are you getting enough protein?

I'm only on day three of Ozempic... wow. I took my shot Sunday night (.25mg). Yesterday, even water made me feel like I'd eaten Thanksgiving dinner. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and started this medication. I've been counting calories, and I feel incredibly nauseous. Today, Wednesday, I made two eggs and sausage but could only manage half. My dogs got the rest. For lunch, I had leftover homemade sauteed chicken with homemade teriyaki sauce, about 1/3 cup of chicken and the same of white rice. I couldn't finish it. Is this normal?! I usually eat almost 2500 calories a day.

Is this normal?
Yes, @Carb_Tracker, it's totally normal. The appetite suppression will probably fade a bit. It happened to me when I started each dose (.25, .5, 1 mg). For the first few weeks, my appetite vanished. Eventually, it came back, but use this time to build new, healthier habits.

Goal weight loss, ignoring dosage progression. Assume any dose up to 15 available. Clinical trial shows five weekly gave 5.4 kilograms loss vs 15 weekly 10.4. Question, should dose be highest manageable without side effects? And if yes, creep up till unmanageable then back down? Your take.
