I was put on Ozempic in early 2022. I was on and off of it for about a year and a half because it was hard to find. The side effects were terrible. Really bad heartburn, tummy troubles, bad cramps, all sorts of bathroom issues. My A1c did drop some and I think I lost maybe 6 pounds, but the SEs were just too much. I heard about Mounjaro last year and my insurance covered it because of my T2 diabetes. I started it in January of this year, and by my birthday on August 1st, I was shocked. I went from 200 to 164. I had a few mild side effects at the start, but then nothing. I'm in my mid-50s now, and for the last 10 or so years, I've been between 185 and 205. The constant thoughts about food are gone. It's really an amazing medication. I had bloodwork done in late July, and all my numbers are good. It's like it fixed my whole messed up system.
