It's like, *suddenly* everyone has an opinion on my body.
I've dropped maybe 45 pounds, and now I hear daily, "You look like you're disappearing!" It's wild.
I told someone I'm not sure what my final goal weight is, I'm just aiming for healthier. I mentioned my target is around 155 (I'm at 180 currently). They gasped like I'd said I was going to the moon! "OMG, there will be nothing left of you!"
Seriously? I have to explain my autoimmune issues and how extra weight is crushing my joints? I swear, if I hear one more person say I'm developing an eating disorder because of some nausea, I might scream. Where were all these health experts when I was struggling before?
I finally hit 'overweight' on the BMI scale, and I'm celebrating! But all the comments, even the well-meaning ones, are getting to me.
I guess I'll just keep ignoring them and focusing on feeling better. Maybe I'll keep reminding them about the rheumatoid arthritis, that usually shuts them up. So glad the holiday gatherings are over because I honestly wanted to feel beautiful in my outfit but everyone just commented on my weight.
Thank goodness for my supportive friends. Cheers to all of us on this journey together! We're doing amazing!
