I'm apparently a super responder. Felt effects within two hours of that first shot. Tirz at 2.5mg. Appetite completely gone. Forcing food down made me gag. But water, thankfully, still called to me. Kept this up for four weeks. Bottom line, dropped 20 of the eventual 30 pounds inside a single month. Way too fast, and it came with plenty of side effects. My regular doctor wouldn't hear me out on it. Ended up going through a telehealth provider instead, paying out of pocket anyway. Cut the dose down to 1.2mg twice weekly and the remaining 10-15 pounds came off much more gradually. Felt great through it. Plenty of stretches where the scale stalled entirely but inches kept disappearing regardless. This medication doesn't follow the usual playbook for shedding weight. Your entire body shifts. After losing that first 20, my body needed a full two months just to catch up. There's a lot of internal healing happening too, alongside the weight itself.
Worth checking out the book Weightless, written by Dr. Salas-Whalen. There's also an educational video page she runs under her own name. Genuinely brilliant.
