Peps for the ladies?

Hey everyone,

Looking for some insights. My wife is 45, in great shape, doesn't need to slim down, but wants to firm up a bit and get her mojo back. She's been super active for years, but family life has taken over, and she's been stressed lately. She just wants a little boost to feel good again.

She recently discovered she has some thyroid antibodies, and while her tests are otherwise normal, she's concerned. Fitness and nutrition are pretty solid.

I could research peptides forever, but I'd love to hear what's actually worked for the women here on the forum. I know peptides aren't a fix-all, and there aren't many clinical trials. I see them as a helping hand.

Thanks!

I've been using Glips for weight control, and I've been doing weight lifting and resistance workouts. I feel stronger, like I'm getting younger every day, and I'm happier with my body. A workout class like Les Mills Body Pump could be a great option.

At 45, she's probably in perimenopause, even if her periods are regular. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) should be her priority. When her estrogen and progesterone are in balance, everything else tends to fall into place, including her thyroid. Estrogen supports liver function and nutrient absorption, which helps the thyroid. And progesterone improves sleep, which is vital for so many things.

People usually start with an estradiol patch (changed twice a week) and oral progesterone at night. A couple of months later, a low dose of a GLP1 like Tirzepatide would be a good addition.

That's exactly what I did. It was the best decision I've ever made.

I agree with New_Gang2026. I want to try Epitalon in the future. I've heard good things, that it's really good for women. I love the KLOW right now, even though it can be intense. It's great for skin and body benefits. There's also talk on the SS-31, Mots-C, Nad+ which are meant to boost your mitochondria for a load of different benefits. Look at those.

I'm going to disagree. I tried BHRT to help with hot flashes, but it messed up my cycles. I had a period that lasted 31 days with heavy bleeding. The mood swings and bloating were terrible. But I see no issue with a low dose of reta or tirz.

I'm sorry that happened to you, but it sounds like your hormone levels weren't balanced. That's what happens without BHRT or when the ratios are off. Irregular cycles, mood changes, and bloating are signs of an imbalance between estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone, which can be fixed by adjusting the doses.

If her thyroid numbers are high, be careful with GLP-1s. They have a black box warning/PI regarding medullary thyroid cancer.

I'm on board with exploring peptides. I'm currently looking at peptides. I plan to start around late February. I'd begin sooner, but the SS-31, Mots-C and NAD+ require a 14-week cycle, and I have a medical procedure scheduled for Feb 10th that requires me to stop all meds 2 weeks before. I don't want to interrupt the cycle. I also want to follow up with Epitalon.

So many peps to try! I think I'm gonna start with Ipamorelin... I saw someone say it really helps with hunger and feeling better

I know Ozempic can kill your appetite, maybe this is the opposite?

I've been taking Ipamorelin for about 4 years, usually around 300 mcg before bed. I haven't noticed any bad side effects. I think it helps me sleep better and might counteract the drop in IGF-1 caused by enclomiphene. Seems like a pretty safe peptide overall.

I'm seeing more and more about Ipamorelin. Do you cycle it, ToneLean, or take it continuously? I heard you can develop antibodies to peptides over time, so you need to take breaks. Any truth to that?

From what I've read, you should take sermorelin at night before bed to get the most out of it. Also, don't eat anything for 3 hours before or 1 hour after taking it; food interferes with sermorelin's effects.
