Reached my goal! Woot!

Started at 255lbs, wanted to be 175lbs, and now I'm at 174lbs!

Today, week 32, is the last day of intentionally losing weight and the first day of maintaining. Interestingly, the last week has been strange. I haven't experienced any side effects at all. My appetite suppression seems to be lessening, so I've had to pay closer attention to my eating habits instead of relying on the medication to do the work.

I've noticed that my larger size may have caused some lasting changes. When I lie down or pull my shoulders back, the lower part of my sternum sticks out noticeably. It seems that my expanding belly pushed it outward, but it was hidden until I started losing weight. I'm hoping it will return to normal.

Also, the injections have become more painful over time, even when rotating injection sites. The first injection was painless, but the last one was quite sore.

Reaching my goal weight has put me in a healthy BMI range for the first time in about 20 years.

I went shopping and felt confident about my size, which means more to me than the number on the scale. I didn't have to search for larger sizes and realized that many clothes I like weren't available in those sizes anyway.

My wife and daughter think I've lost too much weight, so now I'm becoming self-conscious about that, LOL.

We have a vacation planned soon, and I might even wear some swimming trunks!

I hope my experience inspires someone when they need it. This forum has certainly helped me.

I started at around 260lbs and I'm at approximately 230lbs now, after about a month on monjouro at a 2.5 mg dose. Even at this low dose, it's become much easier to maintain a better diet.

Congratulations! You look fantastic! I'm on my 30th shot this week and down 87 pounds. I had the same thing happen with my sternum. It felt like a growth at first.

Amazing! You look great! I began close to 235lbs, I'm almost 200lbs now, and I want to reach 165lbs. I've been taking it for 12 weeks. I'm about to start 7.5mg.

Monjaro doesn't seem to be working for me the same way; I'm not sure what's going on. You look incredible, though! Congratulations!

This is very inspiring!

I'm a little older and shorter than you. It's a good comparison. Of course, we all respond differently to the medication.

I'm 42, 5'9", and weighed 247lbs on May 20th. I weighed 245lbs when I got my first injection on July 11th. I lost 20lbs SO fast, but I've been stuck at 224lbs for about 10 days now. No problem, I'm sure most of the initial loss was water weight. Since I barely eat any fast food now, my sodium intake has also dropped significantly.

My goal is 180lbs. My doctor ordered 3 months of 5mg right away. I started strong but will be at this dose for a few more months before increasing it. That's okay. I'm still monitoring my calories and exercising twice a week (possibly increasing to three soon). It will happen when it happens. I need to build up good habits regardless.

Thanks for the motivation!

Incredible results! 🙌
Just shows me what is achievable because I'm struggling to lose weight after 11 weeks and haven't lost any in the last month. The cravings and food noise are intense at the moment, but I can see what's possible if I keep going.

Great job. I'm in week 13, and I've lost 12kg. I went from 118kg at 186cm tall, so a similar start. I feel better every day and enjoy being photographed on vacation. I'd like to lose another 12kg and then build some muscle.

I'm also looking forward to how my clothes fit better!
