Started at 255lbs, wanted to be 175lbs, and now I'm at 174lbs!
Today, week 32, is the last day of intentionally losing weight and the first day of maintaining. Interestingly, the last week has been strange. I haven't experienced any side effects at all. My appetite suppression seems to be lessening, so I've had to pay closer attention to my eating habits instead of relying on the medication to do the work.
I've noticed that my larger size may have caused some lasting changes. When I lie down or pull my shoulders back, the lower part of my sternum sticks out noticeably. It seems that my expanding belly pushed it outward, but it was hidden until I started losing weight. I'm hoping it will return to normal.
Also, the injections have become more painful over time, even when rotating injection sites. The first injection was painless, but the last one was quite sore.
Reaching my goal weight has put me in a healthy BMI range for the first time in about 20 years.
I went shopping and felt confident about my size, which means more to me than the number on the scale. I didn't have to search for larger sizes and realized that many clothes I like weren't available in those sizes anyway.
My wife and daughter think I've lost too much weight, so now I'm becoming self-conscious about that, LOL.
We have a vacation planned soon, and I might even wear some swimming trunks!
I hope my experience inspires someone when they need it. This forum has certainly helped me.
