Reta first impressions... normal?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
27M, 236 to 210 in 9 weeks on reta at that dose with the deficit is a strong result. The OP not severely overweight at 1mg is a different profile - the response at lower doses tends to be more modest but the first couple weeks are usually too early to judge. Protein first and cardio is exactly the right setup.

The 'having to force yourself to eat' phase is the signal that suppression is working well - the challenge shifts from hunger management to ensuring you still hit minimum protein and calorie targets. Porridge plus a protein shake is on the lower end of sustainable intake; worth making sure the protein target is covered before worrying about anything else.

Zero appetite suppression at 6mg is the non-responder experience and it does happen. The quality question is always worth asking when there's no effect at a dose where most people notice something. How long did you give it at 6mg before reaching that conclusion?

Spend enough time reading through this community, or really anywhere peptides get discussed, and you'll notice people mentioning repeatedly that hunger control on reta falls short of what they'd hoped for, pushing them to layer in other compounds or abandon it entirely for something else. One person saying it doesn't carry much weight. Repeated over and over though, that's meaningful. Basically an informal observational study just sitting in this forum. Tons of individual accounts describing how each glp1 affects different people, giving a pretty clear sense of how much variation exists person to person.

What concerns me is not knowing whether any glp1 dose exists that shuts down overeating urges while leaving actual pounds untouched. I've heard secondhand about people noticing improvement with binge urges tied to BED, though those people started overweight, so shedding pounds wasn't unwelcome, just not the primary goal.

Hard to say for certain either way. Not much else going on in my life besides this right now, so the confidence boost and excitement over finally getting a handle on eating and exercise both play into it.

But as someone who's battled substance dependency long-term, I can tell you this third compound genuinely sharpens focus once you land in the right dosing window. For me that means around 75% appetite suppression, and honestly I still need some carbs in there. Going fully carb-free on it wears me down fast.

Also stay consistent with a solid daily potassium intake, magnesium, a balanced zinc-copper ratio, calcium alongside boron and D3, plus omega-3s and a methylation-support supplement.

Good luck out there, hope you find that spark too!

New to this too, but felt intense fullness right away on Reta at 2mg along with a strange drop in food chatter, strange because that had never happened for me before. I can walk right past cookies, sweets, fried chicken tenders, and fries my family leaves sitting out and just keep going without grabbing any. It's genuinely odd, I'll look at the food and think how bizarre it is that I'm not touching it.

Maybe it's the medication, maybe it's a placebo effect from watching results happen, hard to tell with anything that affects brain chemistry like this. Either way I'm happy with how it's going and curious to see how things shift as the dose and time increase.

Yes, had a great response the first week, then noticed less appetite suppression over time (same pattern with my dad). Appetite suppression matters less with the third compound honestly. Your real focus early on should be hitting protein targets rather than obsessing over calories. Work upward gradually, and once weight starts dropping or you're getting enough suppression to naturally cut calories, stop increasing the amount. But there's a difference between running this compound for its own core mechanism versus using it purely like the other one for appetite control. Running it for its actual mechanism means engaging that third receptor pathway, which really activates around 4mg or higher.

Some days differ, but wow, what reta does to my body within a month amazes me! Feeling great, finally losing weight while eating healthy, adding a few more steps and just enjoying life... this stuff is a favorite of mine! I wish more people with a slow metabolism (me included) who struggle to lose weight could get this peptide easily, without all the hassle around access.

40 year old woman, 1.76m (5'9), started at 103kg (227lb), now 92.8kg, with a BMI of 29.9. I began Reta on 14 April 2026, so roughly two months, and I am already out of the obese range. Reta is amazing. Eating less does not feel hard. In past attempts my head kept saying do not eat this, do not eat that. Now anything feels allowed, I just no longer want everything! Quitting Reta is not in my plans. My damaged knee has less inflammation and I feel great. It is a lifetime thing for me!

On_Deck Totally relate to the suppression Reta gives. Feeling full often, way smaller portions, and zero pull toward deep fried stuff or ice cream. The crackers and chips I used to graze on between meals are just gone. Fridays are my injection day, and by Thursday dinner I can tell I'm slightly hungrier.

Also, Reta doesnt quiet food noise like Tirz does. It gives early satiety, so eat a smaller meal, hold on 10-15 minutes and check for fullness before taking seconds. At higher doses it seems to reach the food noise too, but the fullness arrives sooner.
