Reta killing my sex drive?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Libido drop on Reta can be estrogen-mediated - fat loss changes aromatization and drops E2. A panel with E2, testosterone, and SHBG would tell you whether the mechanism is hormonal before trying any intervention.

The spectrum on this is genuinely wide - for some people the libido reduction is a relief rather than a loss, for others it's a quality of life issue worth addressing. The duration question matters too - some people see it normalize over time, others find it persists. Did you notice it from the start or only after reaching a certain dose?

The direction of libido response on Reta genuinely goes both ways - it's one of the more variable side effects in the community. The people reporting a strong increase are out there too, and it's not as commonly discussed as the decrease. Interesting that the expectation runs one direction when the data is clearly bidirectional.

Starting a new relationship right as the libido drop sets in is the worst timing for this particular side effect. The timing with your first date and the dose is almost certainly coincidental rather than causal - Reta's mechanism doesn't work on a one-dose timeline. At which dose did you start noticing the change and has it been consistent or variable since?

the energy tracking suggestion is the right starting point for the libido question - low libido on Reta is often downstream of energy and sleep disruption rather than a direct hormonal effect. if resting heart rate is elevated and sleep quality is down, those are the proximal drivers that respond to dose adjustment before writing it off as a direct medication effect on drive

Anyone come across the stuff people mention online, like the third compound killing interest in dating, or wrecking the enjoyment tied to certain activities, and the big one, damaging relationships?

How much of that holds up? Five weeks in myself, running 2mg.

Hey everyone, hope things are going well for you all. Wanted to open up a discussion around libido and how much some of us have been affected by a serious drop in it. It's well documented that this drug class, reta specifically, can hit sex drive hard. I'm a 27 year old guy who started a small retatrutide dose recently and bumped it up after a couple weeks. Stopped taking it not long after that since the libido and general desire side effects were just too intense for me. Felt completely flat and kind of absent from my own body. Feeling more present again now, though desire still trails well behind where it used to sit. Something in me genuinely feels absent. There's a girlfriend in my life and being close with her is something I truly enjoy, yet that raw, instinctive pull a body's supposed to carry when things work right is nowhere to be found. Beyond the actual moments together, the topic almost never enters my head anymore, a stark contrast from how it used to occupy so much mental space. Curious whether anyone else has run into this and has thoughts worth sharing?

Only been running Reta about three and a half months and definitely noticed that libido drop after month two or so. Started 5.0mg of Tadalafil daily and it sorted things out completely. Something worth checking into on your end.

Coming up on a year and a half on reta now. Sitting right at goal, so it's down to a once-a-week maintenance shot of 2mg these days, versus splitting 5mg into two doses weekly before.

Biggest issue by far has been a drop in libido. Tried stopping completely across a short stretch and it improved a little, though never fully returned to normal. Problem is the constant food thoughts came right back too, which pushed me back onto the maintenance dose. Next plan is trying kisspeptin to see if that helps with the drive issue.
