Reta Schedule - too much hunger?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
nad schedule on the 14-week mitochondrial program is solid. start 25mg, titrate to 50 then 100 over weeks. gives you time to feel how it hits. use good bac water, 5ml for 500mg vial. nad's thick. diluting helps syringe loading and injection sites. im crew if you're doing 100mg per ml.

For hunger between doses, injection timing matters as much as dose. If hunger returns at day 5-6, that's normal trough behavior. Adjusting when you pin to cover the hardest window is worth trying before increasing dose.

Virus timing is tricky with Reta because gastric emptying is already slowed and illness adds nausea load. Standard guidance: wait until you can hold food without nausea before dosing - usually 2-3 days post-fever. The 4-day interval gives you buffer. If you're still barely eating when the dose window hits, push it one more day rather than injecting on an empty stomach. Once eating normally, resume the 4-day interval from that reset point.

1mg start, then 0.5-1mg increments based on tolerance is the standard approach. Response varies too much for one universal schedule.

Switching from Mounjaro to Reta after a year at 7.5mg is a significant change in mechanism. The hunger issue the OP is hitting is very common on reta in the first months - the amylin pathway response is different from the GIP and GLP-1 dual agonism you had on Mounjaro. Give it a few more weeks at the current dose before making timing adjustments.

A few weeks in and easy side effects while the dose builds is the good-start signal. The hunger at this early point is worth tracking day-by-day relative to injection timing - for most people the suppression gap between doses narrows as the dose gets higher. What schedule are you currently on?

The strategic re-feed framing for end-of-week hunger on Reta is useful - the slightly higher intake in the lower-suppression window can support metabolic adaptation rather than working against progress. Peak suppression mid-week with looser eating by Saturday is a natural cycle to work with rather than fight.

Some people don't get strong appetite suppression from reta alone, especially at smaller amounts. The second compound handles more of that suppression piece. Some feel maxing out the first before adding the second makes more sense, others prefer keeping the first lower and layering the second in earlier.

Only you can really decide whether adding it makes sense. Wouldn't recommend it this early on though, just getting started. See how the current compound settles in first. Takes about four weeks for that dose to reach a steady level in the system regardless of amount.

Figured I'd leave this here for anyone finding this thread down the road too.

Ended up taking my regular shot on the 14th, first day I actually felt like myself again. Only ran two days behind my usual schedule. But wow, I can definitely feel my reta levels dropped. Hunger's back with a vengeance. Based on shotsy, sticking to the normal schedule from tomorrow should put my numbers back where they sat before the food poisoning hit. Hoping that finally settles things back down. If it doesn't, bumping up to 3mg next week!

Yeah, after a few weeks on each dose the hunger suppression gets far weaker. Not much to do besides learning to push through, which still beats going without the drug, though it's harder than the early weeks.

Everyone seems to take huge reta doses. Going past 0.5 every 4 days is hard for me. Injection day I eat a bit more, then two days of barely eating, still hitting 180gr protein. Like that I dropped 16 pounds across 32 days, and I figure another 15 gets me ripped. Before I was on trt I ran the same doses and lost 8-10 pounds a month. Take too much and I just feel weird, and judging by my results I don't think it's worth it.
