Reta working *too* well?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
You look fantastic in that black dress and the hair is totally different too. Been there - dropped 24 kilos in half a year and still can't believe how well it worked.

Appetite dropping to near-zero in the first weeks is the medication at full effect - worth tracking electrolytes if intake is that low.

I remember your smile from back then over thirty years when we were both in that group. So happy to hear you're thriving and hope everything's going great for your family too.

25 lbs in 18 days is fast for Reta - that includes significant water weight and inflammation reduction. The pace usually moderates as the body equilibrates.

25 pounds in 18 days puts gallstone risk in real territory - the gallbladder needs dietary fat to contract regularly, so forcing yourself to eat a small amount of fat with each meal is the practical prevention.

The varying reviews on Reta mostly split by dose sensitivity and protein intake - the baseline experience is pretty consistent once you control for those.

The kidney stone risk from insufficient hydration during rapid weight loss is real - the increased uric acid from protein and fat metabolism during significant deficit combined with inadequate water intake is exactly the environment that promotes stone formation. Tracking water intake to a specific target rather than drinking to thirst is the practical intervention.

So yeah, this is clearly working, maybe a little too well now, had a large portion of salmon late at night just to hit my protein target and feeling absolutely miserable two hours later, wow.

Sounds like you might not be eating quite enough, and your body's shifted into that protective survival mode as a result. Try adding a bit more nutrition and see how things respond.

This is completely normal, just keep an eye on protein and fiber! Stay hydrated, and rest whenever needed.

Knowing I'm not alone in this helps a ton!!! I've also got about 30 pounds left to reach my ideal weight (down roughly 55 on Triz by itself so far). Was hoping Reta would push me past the plateau, but it seems to be doing basically nothing. Maybe fat's coming off while muscle's building, hard to tell honestly. Only been a month though... probably just need to stay the course and consider a higher dose.

Only real worry with reta is hearing that appetite reduction and food-noise help barely show up. What's the actual experience been like? Great progress on the weight loss by the way!
