Scale isn't budging. Ugh!

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to share that I'm in a bit of a plateau. The scale hasn't moved in nearly a month, and it's hard to not get discouraged. So, I'm posting a reminder to myself (and maybe to help others!) about the progress I've made so far.

Started back in March on 2.5mg, and now I'm taking 7.5mg. The scale is being stubborn, but the overall trend is still downwards, so I'm focusing on that.

SW: 346.5 lbs
CW: 306 lbs
GW: 240 lbs
Total lost so far: almost 41 pounds!

Plateaus suck, but they're normal, right? If you've experienced one, how did you get through it?

I think stalls are your body regrouping before another drop! You're looking fantastic! Keep going!

I recently had a stall myself. Was extra annoying since my insurance stopped covering it, so I had to go to a lower dose (expensive stuff here in Canada!). Plus, I hurt my knee, which limited my activity.

I kept telling myself:
1) I was probably losing inches (I measure once a month and always see change).
2) My body was likely prepping for another drop (my measurements show the fat shifting, so I know my body is working).
3) I looked at my protein/water/fiber intake to see if I needed to adjust anything.

And wouldn't you know it, the stall broke this week! And my knee is doing better, so I can swim again! Yay!

Rooting for you!

I started my journey in April, and I had a 3-week stall back in July where the scale didn't move at all. Just 2 days? I dropped 2 pounds unexpectedly. Hang in there, it will happen if you keep doing what you're doing!

My stall only lasted about 14 days, then I started losing again. I didn’t change anything! Just kept waiting lol. Keep up the effort!!!!

I agree with ThinLizzie - our bodies are just adjusting. Sometimes, progress isn't always about the number on the scale. I saw a thread about someone sharing that they had been stuck in a frustrating plateau. But when they looked back at some older photos for encouragement, they could see a difference. Even though she didn't see change on the scale it was there! I think that's so important to keep in mind.

I’m also in a stall, so I'm glad I saw this today!
Me too! I've been on Ozempic since late 2022. I plateaued around last winter, but I'm back on track now. It's so discouraging when it happens.

I've noticed some changes even when the scale isn't moving much. My clothes are fitting better, and I feel stronger. Maybe I'm gaining muscle? That would explain why the scale hasn't budged as much as I'd like. Keep it up! You are looking great!
