Scale stuck? Check other progress markers!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Measurements, energy level, clothing fit, and sleep quality are the markers that move when the scale doesn't - tracking those during stalls is what keeps the perspective right. The scale often catches up in a week or two after it looks stuck.

Looked into the budget body fat percentage scales too, bioimpedance readings can genuinely bounce around a lot though. Are you finding yours gives consistent readings, or mostly just useful for spotting the overall trend?

Just use the tracking app that came with my scale. No cost involved. Also syncs with a broader fitness tracking platform so everything stays in one place. No reason to pay for extra tools.

Genuinely strange, went through the exact same thing. Then suddenly one day it clicked and the measurements finally reflected the actual progress. Keep pushing forward, kind of like watching a pot that never seems to boil while staring at it. Doing an awesome job here!

If you're actually tracking calories and macros, either nothing went wrong and it's just water weight shifting around, or there was some overeating that got rationalized away. In my case it's the water fluctuations that get pretty extreme sometimes, lol.

Log your daily calories and macronutrients into a tracking app or whatever you use. Just double check that side of things is dialed in. Might just be holding onto water weight for now and it'll drop off eventually.

If I managed this, you absolutely can too. And try not to fixate purely on what the number reads, it took a solid twelve weeks before I started seeing real movement.

During that stretch I was adjusting to side effects, working my dose upward, and experimenting with different foods. Started noticing my go-to meals were suddenly making me queasy.

Around week twelve I began logging everything through a free tracking app. Set my macros at 35% protein, 35% carbs, 30% fat, targeting 2000 calories. Still at 315 pounds, so that's still a meaningful deficit for me. Ended up dropping that target to 1600 since I could never actually hit 2000 and it was stressing me out. I focus hard on protein and try to reach that goal daily, though total calories swing anywhere from 900 to 1600 since I sometimes forget meals entirely.

Strange not obsessing over eating constantly anymore. Food still crosses my mind throughout the day, just without wanting to actually eat it. Or sometimes one bite is genuinely enough (that sensation caught me completely off guard!).

Be patient with yourself too, this is unfamiliar territory, you're building a brand new healthy habit from scratch! Takes effort, but it pays off.

Weighing daily would make me lose it, I stick to once weekly, same day and time. Tried the daily thing once just to see. One day down a hair, next week matching, then suddenly three pounds gone overnight. Not stressing over that pattern. Had stretches where the scale sat frozen for a week straight more than once, and I just kept riding out my four-week cycle. Way too many variables tied into hunger levels to overanalyze. Mostly I bumped the dose right after finishing each four-week block. If a level like 6mg (six weeks in) was still delivering, I'd hold there until progress slowed noticeably. Once things went flat, that's when I'd climb. Never once paid attention to what I was actually eating.
Curious what amount you began with, when that was, and where you're sitting now. Seems like everyone's running totally different numbers and climbing at their own pace. Appreciate you sharing.
