Sema for more than just weight?

I get the caution angle here. What we're doing carries risk - buying our own stuff, no regulations, doing it at home. That's riskier than clinical settings. If it's riskier, why stack on more danger? I'm just trying to keep the recipe clean.

Really? Instead of being happy about the good stuff, you focus on the bad stuff that probably wont happen. If you are worried about the side effects before starting, you're not going to do good on this.

As someone using sema for weight issues like many here, I'm telling you it's absolutely helped with my food cravings.

It quieted the constant food thoughts, which helped me make better choices easier. After a month off for a medical thing, I kept the good habits going.

There's something to this for sure.

Sema definitely helps with addiction. I'm drinking maybe 20% of what I used to. At the very least. My online shopping and social media use are way down, too. I'm even going to bed earlier and taking better care of myself!

I just don't seek thrills the same way anymore.

I think the best way to explain it is that I'm more thoughtful about my choices. When I eat, I think about what I need (protein, fiber, long-lasting fullness, a treat, something sweet). When I drink, it's to feel the effects, not just to have something to do. I buy things I actually need. I scroll social media when I want to relax for a few minutes.

I wouldn't have believed this was possible 3 months ago. The way I was living was way more likely to cause health problems than being on sema!

Oh, and I've lost about 25 lbs and my knee pain is gone!

It's helped me stop wasting money, too. I beat a gambling problem and replaced it with shopping. Others say it's helped them with addictions and habits too.

As for worrying... everything has side effects. Being nauseous for a few weeks is common and easily treated with something like antacids. As for blindness, diabetes itself can cause that. Just keep up with your eye exams and normal doctor visits. : )

It helps a lot with food cravings. But it feels like I still crave my other vices just as much, if not more. I only drink less because of the calories. But I still enjoy drinking. I still love cannabis and nicotine and gambling and shopping. I have adhd and definitely lack dopamine. I'm not sure sema helps with anything besides food noise for me, but it’s interesting to hear from others.

I saw someone on Reddit say they're a year sober thanks to this stuff AND they lost almost 100 pounds and are a size small! Amazing.

That's interesting. I wonder if the dopamine connection is why it's not as effective for some people's non-food related addictions?
