Been at this a good long while now, shed a meaningful amount of weight before easing into a maintenance phase. Trimmed the amount way down once maintenance started, and predictably the results softened quite a bit. Figured I'd just quit altogether at that point, keep a bit more cash in my pocket, and observe what unfolded. Learned there's a genuine gap between working less well and not working at all. Bottom line for me, sure, the punch fades with time, particularly after trimming for maintenance, but that's nowhere near the same as it doing nothing. Basically it becomes tougher, yet still considerably more manageable than tackling this without any help at all.
