Sema progress - 25lbs gone!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Covered the cost myself, and Sema ended up being the cheaper option. Twelve months in, I made the switch to Zep because I'd been fighting side effects, mostly nausea and exhaustion, for almost that entire stretch, and couldn't push my dose high enough to get past a five-month stall (Aug-Dec 2025) that came after my first 40 pounds. A few months after switching, I dropped another 30 pounds and these days I'm living pretty much free of any side effects! Wish I hadn't put off the switch just to save money, but honestly the better pick between the two really just comes down to whatever fits you personally.

43, 5'4, 227 back in January 2025, sitting at 155 today.

Still holding at just above half dose. The rough side effects have actually been driving a good chunk of the weight loss. Only move up once I've stalled for more than a month straight. Sick most days, running Sema this whole time.

Dealt with anxiety for a long stretch and I'm on medication for it. Things became genuinely unmanageable. Not fully sure whether it was the medication itself or some absorption issue, but I was struggling. Leaning toward absorption, since it wasn't until the effects wore off that the dose suddenly felt too strong. Called it a couple weeks back. Down a solid amount, nowhere close to my target yet. Sticking around to see whether anything newer comes out that might suit someone like me better.

Only a few weeks into this, still on 0.25mg sema, moving up to 0.5 next week. Really only felt nauseous about four times total - twice tied to work stress (I'm diagnosed with anxiety and PTSD so that tracks for me), twice from waiting too long to eat, which fixed itself once I did. So far it's going well! We'll see how the bump next week treats me.

Three months brought 25lb off me, though much of that early drop came from the nausea at the start. Early on there were rough stretches where I could hardly manage food or daily tasks. At roughly 3.5 months in now, I feel far better and only get side effects after something super spicy. Hang in there, worth every bit!!

Nine months at 45 units (1.15 mg), which took four months of titration to reach. Bad side effects never really happened to me. My diet got my full attention in the beginning (still healthy, just less obsessive). Days 2-3 post shot were when anything appeared. Eating three proper meals with protein first kept nausea mostly away. I whine loudly about nausea, so you can believe me: I would say so if it hurt. Ginger candies were my backup, and a couple of saltines sometimes did the trick. No dose felt worse than the rest. Nausea is gone entirely these days. Against constipation I hydrate a lot and have senna tea in the evening now and then.

ramen-titrating My apo-sema start was July 22, so the four 0.25mg injections are behind me and I'm in week one at 0.5mg. Likely a super responder: the first shot registered, loss started at once, sweets lost their appeal (no idea when I last had chocolate), and food noise is basically muted. I do get properly hungry near meals, preferred to my old all-day and midnight snacking. My weight went 297.8 down to 283.3, jittering a pound or two daily. Side effects were minor: week three brought serious constipation, cured by a big fibre boost. I adore this medication. Living this way permanently would be my dream.
