Sema success! One year in

Just hit the one year mark (plus a few weeks!) using a GLP-1 med like semaglutide.

I decided to approach weight loss differently this time. No more constant scale watching or stressing over every bite. Just taking it slow, one day at a time. My biggest struggle has always been compulsive overeating. This med has really helped. I've always enjoyed exercise, so that wasn't the issue – it was the food. Now that the constant food cravings are quieter, I can make healthier choices. I still have another 75 lbs or so to go before reaching my goal, but I'm not as focused on the number anymore. Feeling better is what matters most. I'm just going to keep at it, day by day, and trust that the weight loss will continue. So glad I made this change for myself. Future me will definitely appreciate it.

Starting weight: 337 lbs
Current weight: 239 lbs
Goal weight: 160-190 lbs

I really like your positive attitude toward your weight loss journey. Very inspiring! Thanks for sharing today!

I've been on this for about a month and a half now. Started at 328 lbs, currently at 316 lbs, and I'm 5'4". So our stats are pretty similar. My goal is around 165-170 lbs, otherwise I'd look too thin. I got down to 145 lbs once in the hospital and looked terrible, according to my stepmom. I literally couldn't eat back then because my lap band moved up to my esophagus, so they had to take it out. Now I'm at home all the time, constantly thinking about my next meal or snack. I'm trying to make healthier choices, but it's still difficult with all the food noise.

Everyone here is doing their own research because standard advice doesn't work the same for everyone. That's literally why we're all here. Figuring out what works for you - whether it's adjusting dosing frequency or adding something else - that takes guts and persistence. The fact that you got your power back and stopped waiting for someone else to fix it, that matters.

Albuterol inhaler worked best for me. Super short halflife. One puff maybe 30 before a workout or morning and I'm going all day. Dirt cheap from overseas, under five bucks for an inhaler.

Just took my eighth dose yesterday, fourth at five milligrams. I check once weekly and losing steady but not obsessing over it. Had a week with barely anything and had to read through wins to stay motivated.
