Sharing my GLP-1 journey?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
You sound genuinely motivated and have made real progress. Would love to hear what your dose progression looked like. Really inspiring.

This is really motivating to read, especially at the start of the journey. I'm curious what you ended up at for your final dose by the end? That kind of detail really helps people figure out what might work for their own path.

21 with a lifelong history - early results and the habits underneath both tell the real story.

Starting young and finally finding something that works after fighting weight since childhood is a different kind of relief - that shift in how food feels is real and tends to compound over time.

That's awesome you're starting! Having already made some progress on your own actually helps - you go in with better habits in place already. Wegovy is going to make the last stretch much more manageable. Good luck with it!

Similar age and start weight and not needing to calorie count because the junk food wasn't the main issue anyway is the Wegovy use case where portion control and stopping when full are the two specific problems it solves. The OP's 60-day check-in is early but those two signals are exactly what to be watching for. How's the stopping-when-full piece working in practice so far?

Starting at 244 and aiming for 194 is a clear 50 lb target and two days in on the pills is really the very beginning. The OP at 60 days with good early results is the path you're just starting. Keep checking in - those first two months tell you a lot about how you respond. How have the first two days felt?

Started at 280, my healthy BMI number lands around 135, haven't seen that since middle school. Lowest I'd ever gotten as an adult was 171, back when I was hardcore dieting and hitting the gym five days a week. Now twelve weeks into wegovy and 22 pounds down. Up to 1.5mg currently, and disordered eating's been a real struggle, paid the price plenty for overindulging or making bad calls with food. But it wasn't until hitting that 1.5 jump that food noise really shifted, especially around alcohol, which used to be a whole day's worth of calories every single evening. That jump killed my interest in both food and drinking almost overnight. Still working on portion control since my body's fullness cue kicks in only once I've usually already overdone it, so I have to watch closely or things sit uncomfortably for a full day, learned that the hard way after getting sick from overdoing it post-fast. Also had to scale back on weed since the munchies kept beating the glp1, but since that 1.5 bump I'm handling it so much better, actually able to ignore cravings now!!

Appreciate you sharing your journey! Started Wegovy today myself, feeling hopeful. A brutal few years stress-wise pushed my weight to an all-time high. Been logging meals and cutting most carbs already, dropped roughly ten pounds without any medication help, though there's a long road left. Really looking forward to carrying less weight on joints already aching with arthritis. And no longer cropping myself out of family pictures. Done hiding out of embarrassment over how I look!!

Appreciate you sharing that! Same situation here with insulin resistance, my weight swings depending on how disciplined I've been with meals. Eating right isn't the hard part for me, it's dealing with the constant food chatter and hunger. Wishing you a smooth experience with it!
