Shrinking size, growing middle?

Started at 297 in July '23, and now I'm at 160! Shooting for 150. I'm 67F, currently on 12.5mg. Almost at maintenance!

Thanks, everyone! @SparkleStacy_RX I am 62 and started this journey on Mounjaro in Oct of 2022 at 297.5 lbs. I'm at 185 now. Another 15 lbs would put me in the normal BMI range, but I'm okay with where I am. I have some loose skin, but I'm not too concerned about it. I lost roughly 60 lbs in the first year and about 40 lbs the second year. This year, only 10 lbs. It's work, and I agree it couldn't have been done without meds. I had many stalls, including one for three months after starting 15 mg. I've since dropped down to 12.5 mg for 3 weeks and then one 15mg shot on the 4th week. After being on 15 mg for a year, I had no appetite and felt awful. Lowering the dose helped a lot.

My advice is to take vitamins and protein supplements. I've lost a lot of hair and can't seem to get it back under control.

Thanks for the tip @Lee_1981! I've also heard that biotin can help with hair loss. Have you tried that?

It's so important to remember that everyone's journey is different. Some people find their 'magic dose' early on, while others need to titrate up. Don't get discouraged if you're not seeing the same results as someone else!

Yes I have tried biotin with no significant improvement. It is important to start protein supplements early in the process to avoid this side effect.

Titrating down slowly, helps a lot. Hunger's manageable — I don't keep tempting snacks around, just grab an apple if I need something. Been on this stuff since july, hit my goal a few months back and it's stuck so far.
