Slow progress buddies?

Plateau at 7.5mg and gaining through the hold before 10mg started moving things again is a frustrating sequence but the 2kg drop on 10mg after a month is the right direction. The doctor approach of pushing protein and walking at the stall point is often right but sometimes the dose just needs to go up regardless.

So awesome to hear! I've got a question actually - just bumped from 1mg to 1.7mg myself. Hadn't lost anything in three months, was on .5 for two months then 1mg for a month before today's jump. Sitting at 340 right now. When did the scale actually start moving for you? Already eating a lot less on my end, really just tiny portions these days. Any advice welcome, thanks.

If it's working well for you, no reason to change anything, sounds great! I'd hold steady another month and reassess after that. Really glad to hear the medication's making such a difference for you. Our starting weights are pretty close actually. Figured it'd take a full year to go from 103kg down to my 70kg goal too. Five months along and already sitting at 77kg! Even shifted my target down to 65kg since things are going way better than I expected (I'm 165cm tall). Hoping the rest of your journey goes just as smoothly, enjoy it!

Dealing with T2D, PCOS, extra weight? These meds exist for ongoing management of exactly that, plain and simple. You can manage them, even push into remission, but the underlying condition never actually leaves - obesity is really just the visible marker of insulin resistance underneath. Slow weight loss genuinely stinks! Frustrating to watch it crawl along, but how fast was it moving before you had these meds at all? In my case, any time a metabolic problem or a nutrient shortfall flared, progress ground to a halt. Still have 60-70 pounds ahead of me and I've been stuck nine months running at 12.5mg. Couldn't climb higher because other symptoms made eating and even staying awake a real struggle on MJ. Getting ready now to move up to 15mg since a few of those unrelated problems are finally calming down. My numbers on the diabetic marker are normal, and even through this stretch of no movement not once has my endo suggested the treatment quit doing its job. What?! It's constantly working behind the scenes. When this much is happening at once, the body has to decide what matters most, and here's the kicker - holding onto fat is a built-in survival trick, so once things start going haywire internally, giving up a stored resource

Great job! Keep that momentum going. I'm down 32 lbs myself since April this year. Can't recall my starting BMI but it was near yours and now it's sitting at 37. So grateful for this med.

Not sure of your height or activity level, but we started at a similar weight and I walk about 45 minutes daily. I recently met a nutritionist that treats tirzepatide and semaglutide patients, and she said my intake should be around 1600 cal every day. As others said, your average loss is truly great. The drug brings other benefits too. Are you seeing them? Less food noise? Reduced appetite? Portion control? More energy from the weight loss?
