Smart Scale Upgrade - Worth it?

I got a body fat scale for $50 and it connects to my phone just fine. It tracks weight, BMI, body fat, water, muscle mass, BMR, heart rate, and shows your progress over time. Good deal for the price.

I really like mine. It's consistent with the scans I get from my gym. The app is easy to use and I like seeing the graphs. I'd never go back to a normal scale. Planning to get their wristband as well.

My GF hates it though. She says it makes her feel bad. lol

Since I like my scale so much, I wanted the wristband. I saw a video saying it's just a cheap band with a different logo. I ordered the cheap one and it works with the app! Saved myself a lot of money.

Why did you choose that brand over the others? What else did you look at?

How much did you pay?

How long have you had it? How often do you use it?

What stats do you track besides weight?

Do you use the app? Does the scale work without it? Do you pay for the extra subscription?

Can you export your data?

I'd love to save money and get data frequently instead of rare DEXA scans.

I looked at all the major brands before choosing this one. One other brand was a close second. I liked that it's app-based and I don't have to use buttons on the scale.

I paid around $300, but I think they're cheaper now.

I've had it for maybe 7 months, and I use it every morning after using the bathroom.

I track body fat, muscle mass, weight, water, and BMR. I also like the visceral fat index, because I had a problem with that before losing weight. And I like seeing my metabolic age go down.

I just have the free version of the app. I might get the subscription eventually.

DEXA scans are great, but they're expensive! This scale seems to be within a few percent of my DEXA scans, and close to my monthly body scans, so I'm happy with it.

I also got that model that has been talked about, and it weighs the same as my other scale. But I stopped using the scan feature after a couple of weeks. Just got too lazy lol.

I've used a few different scales. They all have accuracy issues. If you want perfect, get a DEXA scan.

Use what you can afford and remember that it just gives you an idea of the trend over time.

I just bought that exact one yesterday. The weight is the same as my accurate scale. Nothing fancy. I tried the body fat thing, it said 29%, which seems high. But I do have a bit of a gut, so maybe it's close. At least I can track it.

I've been using my scale for a while now. I've dropped like 15 pounds since starting my medications. I've also been strength training three days a week, trying to keep my protein intake high!

That's awesome! Keep up the great work. It's amazing to see the progress, isn't it?

62 and wasted 24 weeks on Ozempic—only lost 6 pounds. Switched to a compounded version and then Mounjaro. 18 weeks, 22 pounds lost. Now on berberine for the last few pounds and maintenance. Got a cousin who gets horrible nausea the day after her shot but she's losing steady.
