Someone noticed my weight loss!

the relationship-dependent disclosure approach is the most sustainable model - close people get the real story, casual acquaintances get 'eating better and moving more' which is also true and doesn't invite the judgment. the energy spent explaining the medication to someone who's going to respond with skepticism is rarely worth it

That's a fantastic non-scale victory! Don't take it hard when the people closest to you don't notice, seeing someone daily makes gradual change easy to miss. Maybe try mentioning something like going shopping and needing several sizes smaller now, having dropped 60 pounds. That'll get their attention for sure. Try not to take it personally.

Appreciate the comment, genuinely. Having someone take a moment to cheer things on really does motivate. Strangest part honestly was noticing how much heaviness sat in the stomach and back specifically, while never really registering much extra weight in the arms and legs. Wild how that works.

Exactly the same with my friend group, tight-knit and supportive. Just recently one of them dug up a picture from way back and said she genuinely didn't remember me being that heavy, but that I look great now. That's what real friends do, lift each other up. Says a lot that she never even clocked the weight until seeing that older picture.

Definitely looks like some weight's come off. Do you track measurements at all? Might be worth starting that so you have something concrete to confirm it.

That's really interesting. Well, if nobody points out soon that I'm drowning in my own clothes, I might just lose it, haha kidding. Appreciate you weighing in, and congrats on your own progress too!
