I agree - pushing for small changes instead of the usual dose jumps made a huge difference for me. Maybe talk to your provider about it!
 
Six weeks of Terz is workable timing to make the switch - 8mg Reta can restart a stall, and some respond better to the mechanism anyway. Have next supply lined up before you're deciding under pressure.
 
The switch both ways story is useful context. 25 pounds in 2 months on Tirz and then switching to Reta for speed - if it meant coming back to Tirz, that's relevant for your partner's decision. 7.5mg with 75 down and close to goal is a good spot. A dose bump might get them there without switching.
