Stalled? Tira bump or switch to Reta?

Personalized dosing sounds amazing. I'm tired of just following the standard schedule.
I agree - pushing for small changes instead of the usual dose jumps made a huge difference for me. Maybe talk to your provider about it!

Six weeks of Terz is workable timing to make the switch - 8mg Reta can restart a stall, and some respond better to the mechanism anyway. Have next supply lined up before you're deciding under pressure.

The switch both ways story is useful context. 25 pounds in 2 months on Tirz and then switching to Reta for speed - if it meant coming back to Tirz, that's relevant for your partner's decision. 7.5mg with 75 down and close to goal is a good spot. A dose bump might get them there without switching.

Reta after Tirz is exactly the adjustment problem - the Tirz appetite suppression is strong enough that anything else feels like a step down at first. You gotta give Reta a few months before comparing it fairly to what Tirz did. The cornerstone effect fades but the Reta mechanism works differently.

The slower Reta titration has benefits beyond side effect management - the glucagon receptor component produces a more pronounced metabolic shift as dose increases, and the body needs time to adapt to the combined triple-agonist load. Rushing the schedule can also make it harder to identify the minimum effective dose.

Wouldn't recommend titrating upward here. Had a procedure that required a six-week break due to anesthesia concerns. Restarting afterward, under my doctor's watch, hit me like a truck.

Might be worth pausing first and then restarting from the lowest starting amount.

My own path looked different, I dropped a consistent ten pounds monthly across the early dose levels. Oddly stalled right at the ten milligram mark, and my doctor had me stretch the interval between doses out to ten or fourteen days, which strangely got things moving again. Currently back down to 7.5 and still losing steadily.

Currently running the dual-action compound alongside the third one and consider myself a strong responder. Lost weight steadily for eighteen weeks straight without a single stall. Plenty of others have a totally different experience and run well over double my amounts. Instead of increasing further, they've got the option of adding a fourth compound to break through a plateau. Have thought about setting some aside in my freezer as a backup plan. Doesn't cost much either. As I get closer to my target, I know the fight could get harder and progress might slow down some.

Three weeks into reta now, easing up slowly. Tirz never budged my weight and left me with cortisol spikes jolting me awake around 2 to 3am, every single night. Turns out I'm apparently one of the rare few whose sleep trouble on it never settles down. Nothing like that has shown up on reta so far, still watching and waiting.

Started on reta first and stalled for a long stretch. Ran into rough reactive hypoglycemia and figured moving to tirz made sense since that issue seems rarer with it. Now running tirz alongside another compound and it's working well. Really helped break through that plateau.
