Starting Reta - First Week Results?

Just started Reta, never tried any peptides before. I jumped in with 2mg to start. Lost about 3 pounds this week. Seems like a lot... mostly water weight, right? I also noticed my head feels really clear, almost like after meditation. Didn't sleep great though, felt kinda wired. Appetite is definitely suppressed. No other side effects so far. That heart thing is still in the back of my head. Should I stick with Reta?

If you have extra baggage to lose, 3 lbs is believable but probably mostly water. Part of it might be the peptide itself and part psychological. You didn't burn 3,500 calories * 3 = 10,500 calories MORE than you ate *just* because of Reta in your first week.

Reta sometimes causes a slight increase in pulse rate, but shouldn't be anything major. If you feel it's doing more than that, see a doctor.

That's awesome progress for a first week! Don't expect that to continue though, probably a bunch of water leaving your body right now. Stick with it, watch what you eat, get some exercise and it should keep working. Also, don't get discouraged if you don't see changes on the scale every week, and don't weigh yourself every day. It's a long journey.

Starting out can make you worry, including your heart . Morning shots are best before you go. As someone wise said here, if taken before bed, and something goes wrong, you may not wake up. Morning shots also help me sleep better . Your mileage may vary, of course.

Yeah, I figured that's what you meant. Reta seems to put a little extra stress on the heart, which isn't surprising since it speeds up your metabolism. Nothing is free. I don't have heart issues, so the small increase is worth it for the improved cardio that comes with losing weight and working out. Things change, but that's where I'm at right now.

All my swelling went away during the first week on Reta, and my heart feels great. I used to get heart pounding at night when I tried to sleep. That is gone.

I've been using Reta for almost 4 months now, on only 3mg. I've seen my pulse go up a bit, from 59-62 to like 62-66. And it definitely messes with my sleep, especially after I increase my dose.

Sometimes I feel kinda shaky inside for a few minutes. I also wake up between 2-3am every night after I increase my dose.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to weight loss or effects until you're past week 4. Then you'll know what you have and if you need to adjust. Keep losing weight and don't titrate up until you plateau. Not a sprint.

Some people think you should raise the Reta dosage high enough to trigger gcgr signaling, for the metabolic and lean mass benefits over Tirz. That's why I switched from tirz to reta. I don't have appetite problems on Reta.

I'm about two months in, and I’ve only dropped about 10 pounds. I think I need some motivation to track stuff better and get more exercise in.

Congrats on the steady progress!

30lbs down in 9 months? That's amazing and sustainable!
Slow and steady wins the race. Hair loss and regrowth are certainly things to watch for on GLP-1s.
