Stress bringing back food cravings?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
exactly my experience. mounjaro a year and a half—amazing loss and appetite control. then started trintellix and appetite went poof, gained weight back. been wanting to taper but was on celexa 5 years prior, thought switching was smart. so wrong. don't know if i should quit meds altogether now.

had to stop for a month due to surgeries. the hunger came back like crazy plus blood sugar control tanked. already worried about slowing weight loss anyway. can't wait to restart next week. doc warned me it's lifetime maintenance.

The A1C perfection doesn't make the GI quality of life cost acceptable if it's dominating your anxiety - that's a real tradeoff, not a tolerance failure. Have you tried dose reduction or spacing to see if the GI effects scale down while the metabolic benefit holds?

the background non-mealtime craving is the specific phenomenon that GLP-1 is most effective at quieting - it's the between-meal mental pull toward food that isn't driven by actual hunger, just by the reward system defaulting to food thoughts. the stress interaction makes sense because cortisol specifically activates that reward pathway, which is why high-stress periods often bring back food noise even at doses where it was previously absent
