Switching from Tirz to Reta?

Been on 12.5mg of tirz for a while now, and my weight loss has totally plateaued. Thinking about trying Reta. Should I start at the lowest dose? Wait a couple weeks between switching? The hunger is coming back strong when my tirz shot wears off, and I'm worried I'll overeat when I stop.

I actually use both tirz and reta. I use to inject tirz every 5 days. When I added Reta, I started at a low dose and slowly lowered my tirz. My schedule is Reta on Mondays and Tirz on Thursdays, around 7mg of each.

After about 9 months on GLP-1s, my weight loss stalled at 5mg of tirz. Instead of upping the dose, I started adding Reta, starting at 2.5mg. I switched my tirz injections to every 5 days and did Reta on its own 5-day rotation, separately. I read it's better to space them out since they affect similar receptors. Reta doesn't suppress my appetite as much, but it seems to boost my metabolism, which helps with energy levels. No nausea or gut issues. I eventually increased Reta to 5mg and Tirz to 7.5mg, still on the 5-day schedule. A year after starting, I hit my goal weight of 130 (started at 211). I've lost another 5 pounds since then without really trying, so I fluctuate between 125-130. I'm now on a maintenance dose of 5mg of both, every 7 days. I'm also looking into peptides/amino acids to help with muscle growth, like NAD+, MOTS-C, AOD 9604, and Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin. I'm a 67-year-old guy trying to get back in shape. I strength train 5 days a week, walk daily, and focus on protein while cutting out sugary/salty snacks after 6 pm. Reta has been a great fit.

Thanks, Vial_Tracker! I'm going to order Reta and Tirz. I was traveling, didn't even eat badly, and the scale still crept up. I've been stalled for at least 3 months. I'm over it. I want to work out, but my energy is nonexistent. I ordered NAD+ and Klow hoping they'll help with energy.

I've been on mounjaro/tirz for over 3 years and lost 130 pounds. I still want to lose another 30. I am still taking 15mg of tirz but my weight loss has stopped. I was thinking about lowering Tirz and adding Reta to see if that helps.

I also take NAD+ twice a week and Tesamorelin 5 days on/2 days off for 4 week cycles. Started at 222, now at 132, goal is 125. It's been 13 months of stacking all 4.

I've been on 15mg Tirz since April 1st, but I'm looking to switch to Reta. From what I've read, Reta doesn't really help with food cravings at the start. So instead of completely stopping Tirz before starting Reta, I'm going to stack them carefully at first.

I'm staying at my full dose of Tirz and added Reta last week. Still getting appetite suppression from the Tirz. Eventually, as I get closer to 6 or 8mg of Reta, I'll lower my Tirz dose and stop taking it.

How many days apart are you taking them? Are you alternating weekly or mid-week?

Also, 6 or 8mg of Reta seems high. Are you seeing better results at that dose?

Why not increase your tirz dose before trying something else? The highest dose is like 15 mg and I think they are even looking at higher doses. Any bad effects?

I take my Tirz on Friday nights, full dose for the week. Then on Monday nights, I take my weekly Reta dose. I started at 2mg and didn't feel any side effects.

This week I bumped it up to 2.5mg and I'll stay there for two more weeks then go up to 3. If that goes well, I'll go to 3.5 the next month, then try 4.

It seems like the right dose is somewhere between 4mg and 8mg for most.

My partner usually gets terrible nausea. She took 5mg of Reta on Friday, and she hasn't had any issues. She has not had any sides with reta like she had before. I took 8mg and everything seems fine. I'll stay at 8mg for a while, but my next order might be late, I might have to lower the dose.

It's been about 6 weeks since I switched from 10mg Tirz to titrating up on Reta. My weight loss kinda stalled during the switch, but it's picking up again.

The appetite changes are a mixed bag. I kinda miss the feeling of rarely being hungry with Tirz, and being able to eat a small breakfast and hike for 10 miles without needing more food.

BUT... I have way more energy on Reta. My workouts feel stronger and I have more endurance.

I might end up at around 4mg/wk of Reta and add a small amount of tirz to keep my appetite down.
