Switching to Reta - dosage Qs

Vial says 2.5 mg per 0.5 ml (single dose). Using a 1 ml insulin syringe (100 units). When I draw it, I can pull slightly more than 50 units—sometimes 55–60. Does the vial have extra liquid? Is it saline without med? If I inject 0.55–0.6 ml am I getting more than 2.5 mg? Is concentration fixed so the total's always 2.5 mg?

Try splitting the dose. Half on day one, half on day four. Spreads it over the whole week instead of one spike. You can split a 0.25 with pen clicks—like 37 clicks for 0.25mg, 18 for 0.125. Some people are just sensitive to it. Nothing wrong with a lower dose while you adjust.

been on 5mg for 8 months, bloodwork is solid. a1c at 5.6, bmi down to overweight from obese, blood pressure way better. lost 45 lbs and don't need to lose more. doc probably won't bump my dose as long as the numbers stay good.

Got my first 2.5mg shot yesterday morning. Was fine then, but this morning I've got mild-to-moderate nausea, bloating, fatigue, burping like crazy. Is this normal? What helps besides chugging water (which makes the burping worse)?

Just came off a daily blend after 37 days. The fluid retention was killing me—carpal tunnel feelings, tingling, burning, a little pain. Got IGF levels checked before and after. Plan to try again with lower dose next time instead of stopping cold.
