This med's a total game changer!

One year on semaglutide and I'm down over 100 pounds! Started at 325, now I'm 219. It hasn't always been easy. But, remembering to put my health first was everything.

I think that's really key. I realized I had stopped liking myself and I was making bad choices as a result. Hope I can get where you are!

Counterintuitive as it sounds, this actually works in practice. Maintaining insulin responsiveness while ramping up carb intake through growth hormone use really shifts the game. I'm three weeks into a surplus and nowhere near as bloated as I'd typically expect.

Eating about 1450–1500 calories a day. 11 months in, down 65 on Tirz. Weight loss has slowed—technically should eat under 1350 for a pound a week but even with meds I can't go under 1500. Got down to 200 before over the years but always got stuck and gained it back. Probably going to bump my dose to keep moving.

20 lbs in 14 weeks on Mounjaro is the dual GIP/GLP-1 mechanism doing what the clinical trials showed - the GIP component adds to the GLP-1 appetite effect in a way most people describe as the noise dropping faster than expected.

The Trulicity-to-Ozempic ceiling effect is exactly what pushed a lot of people toward Mounjaro. The 12 lbs and regain on Ozempic despite early nausea is discouraging but the mechanism just works differently for some people. The 'felt normal' description on Ozempic is common - just enough effect to mask the problem without delivering the result.
