Tips for upping my sema dose?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Starting the Mounjaro this week. Already ate well before starting. Lost 30 on my own already, going into week 4 now and nothing yet. Hoping my body adjusts soon.

12.5mg worked well for me. When on 10mg, scale stuck a month. Added more. Did 11mg two weeks, lost one then gained back. Doc suggested 12.5mg. That dose got things moving. Know results vary but worth a shot for you.

Started 195, down to 152. Lost 6 inches from hips and waist, went down 4 band sizes up top. Got 7 more to shed then I'm going to taper back down carefully so I don't crash into hunger as the meds wear off. Really grateful for this.

takes a couple doses to feel the full effect of a new dose for me. you'll eventually hit one where eating through the signals has real consequences. mine was 1.5. stay at a dose as long as you're losing, if you're flat for a couple months then go up.

GH's cheaper than Tesa and works better. Tesa plus IPA's a mix if you want, but you're paying 20-35% more for less effect. Why boost GH output—weight loss, muscle, healing?

This one's been on my list. Tried it briefly before switching—loved the deep sleep I got at 1mg nightly. Research says you need 26 weeks to max it out. Planning the common protocol: 2mg on, 2 days off, 5 days on repeat. Heard the downside is visceral fat can creep back after cycling, though lifestyle habits might help with that.

Reaching goal at 1mg after working up gradually is a great data point for someone about to make their first bump. The .5 to .75 to 1 progression usually gives you a good read on how your body handles each step before committing to the next. How long were you at each dose before moving up?

The first week of each dose increase is typically the hardest for side effects - that's when the adjustment is happening and the stomach is most reactive. It does smooth out once your body catches up to the new level. What were the side effects like at the previous doses?

7 lbs in 3 weeks at 0.25mg is a strong early signal. The jump to 0.5 is worth it once the initial adjustment settles - most people find the suppression improves meaningfully at the next step. You're off to a great start.

Think my earlier comment got auto-removed for including a link, but the key part was this:

> essentially step up 0.5mg every four weeks, so 1.0mg would be your next move.

Searching 'semaglutide dosage chart' online should turn up some solid reference examples.

Fatigue really hit hard once the amount pushed past .4mg sema, and eating enough that week became a struggle too. Dialed back to .4mg the following week and haven't gone higher since. Sitting in maintenance now at that same level, appetite control is a touch weaker there, but that's fine since further loss isn't the goal and the other benefits still hold up. Might've just landed on the right spot for now. Worth revisiting a higher amount down the road, tolerance and fading side effects tend to shift things over time.

Sounds good. Right now I use .25, and in 2 weeks I step to .5 semaglutide. Weights four times weekly, aiming over 160g protein daily. Really dont want to lose the muscle I built!

Dakota1976 Yikes. Semaglutide began for me in early May, and .5 is still ahead of me. Im at about .4 and even that makes me feel bad and gives side effects. My NP advised staying on the smallest dose while it keeps producing results. Its working slowly, 28 lbs lost so far. 1 mg would flatten me, unless the climb is extremely gradual.

Hey, my own bump from 1.5 is coming shortly, same motive. Note that the Wegovy trials used 2.7 of semaglutide for weight loss, which leaves a lot of headroom. Side effects typically ease with time. Good luck!!

I did too, though I'm a little taller. Starting weight 200, current 149, 5'7, 55yo female. All of it came off on .5mg. Sema was practically a miracle for me. Best of luck, and keep to the smallest dose that does the job.
